@Smin1080p_WT Sorry for the ping, but may I ask what the Snail plan is regarding HOSBO? Is it planned for UK/ITA too because of the entire “technical capability” reason, or does it not apply in this case?
I thought they set the ground rule of “compatibility”?
Thats why I pinged smin and asked
Can always wait and see if “not enough data” will apply to the addition of APKWS-II in future
It’s setting an unfortunate precedent if munitions stop being shared across Eurofighters
Well there is also the other ground rule of “F you, we do what we want.”
Radar filters are new too (for aircraft)

Anyone got any tips for defeating SU30 missile spam at BVR, I always manage to notch like 3 but then we get too close and I just get pelted by 3 at once? Also dogfighting gripens? They keep ragebaiting me into a one circle which ends in a low speed turnfight where I lose.
How are you actually losing to Gripens 💀
As for the Su-30 you also should be careful of us using R27ER and de selecting you as a target and then relocking you when the missiles is basically on you lol. I’m not good enough too do that but to the players that are they are scary lmao.
Tbf yes, most of toptier encounter wouldn’t rely on flares too much. Even Rafale I consistently run 36 Small Flares and giving the extra 16 to the Chaff because it’s the most significant one.
Depends on loading and fuel for the time of the game. A Gripen is far more stable than Typhoon at lower speeds.
And if it has less fuel and hardly any ordinance it is a challenge.
Typhoons players generally merge too fast
Usually what happens is a Gripen player will say something like “guns only dual?”, and that baits me because I’m like yeah fine I should win. And then when I start turn fighting in a one circle they eventually just get the gun on target after chasing each other round the circle. I think I bleed too much speed too fast in comparison to them or maybe come in too fast and don’t turn fast enough, I’m not sure. It feels like they just turn faster though.
I don’t know if they are using the advanced maneuver mode also because when I use that in the Typhoon all it does is dump my speed really. Personally I think the Gripens know exactly what they’re doing and I want to know what it is.
Typhoon has a lot of instability at the moment on live, but is being addressed in the next major. I would wait and see if that fixes the issue for you. But in my personal experience, I just keep my speed up, and yeet a 9M at them, usually works if they dont see it coming
I was thinking it wobbles around a hell of a lot at low speed. I asked AI (LOL) how I should fight a Gripen and it started going on about how the Typhoon is better in the 2 circle and at higher speeds but I didn’t know if that was right.
Im not much of one for WVR dogfights, I prefer to keep it in BVR, so im gunna excuse myself from commenting.
But yeah, the Typhoon’s rudder on live is the most useless thing in the world.
I just get frustrated because I always get an opponent where they act like WVR is the honorable thing and then I’m like how the hell do these jets work… I’ll just wing it. Early jets I understood but with the advanced maneuver mode I get confused as to what the advantages and disadvantages are on certain jets as they behave differently plane to plane.
I dont even have that keybinded at the moment, I just never use it .
And frick em. If they want to gunfight, they can play lower BRs, Britain wasnt even going to keep the 27mm on their Typhoon, until it just became the cheaper option. Its built for missile combat, shove a 9M up their tailpipe
Do you know if the aerodynamic modification kit for the typhoons will get rid of that Mauser? I see those wing strakes cover it. Also is Britain ordering that?
I tried the dev version, but I didn’t feel much of a change. The dev version gained an advantage of about 0.5 to 1 second during 180-degree turns at high altitudes without losing speed. However, when I input roll or yaw , the aircraft starts to shake violently; I feel like the problem hasn’t really been solved.
