Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

First time I see the IRST module, I don’t remember the other jets having it.

even then that wouldnt change the core gameplay in arb where it is mostly HOBS shots made through an HMD lock

Did they really make a straight pipe out of the EJ200?

Yes obviously. Although it’s possible that Gaijin realize at some point that multipath kinda is a stupid free out of jail free card that only benefits brain dead rush in furballs, so maybe one day BVR will become more important - or when IIR missiles will make going sub 20km from the enemy needlessly dangerous.
All in all, in the current Meta, stealth probably would be a nothing burger. We can only speculate as to what gaijin would implement alongside their « real » introduction (F111 excluded since it’s addition is more prototype/engine testing rather than actual stealth)

like i had said earlier, it depends on the size of the plane itself and the rcs multiplier gaijin chooses to put on the plane, then the variable in the radars that affects stealth stuff is the maximum range

they already have different front, sides and rear aspects rcs for stealth modeled in game

We can still hope, but in any case I just wait for the Dev Server so I can report it

I think the point is though, if an F22/F35 gets killed by a radar guided weapon at any range. People will claim it’s wrong and that is stupid.

I think this is where gaijin should stop now. All 5th gen fighter are very classified in regards to stealth and technology. Gaijin should add latest 4.5th gen for all remaining nation and then stop, they should then focus on all the bugs with 4.5 gen and add their existing features along with a new game mode

Would be good, but even with the best possible 4s and 4.5s. people won’t be satisfied when they have to compete with the euro-deltas

Game is arcade bud, players dont want that mechanic removed same as they dont want larger maps or changes to APHE.

You’re confusing brain dead BVR and funballs

Two seater Typhoons are growing on me. I hope we see them as premium options for the Typhoon down the line.

Or maybe tech tree with a reduced/altered munitions options to create different options for lineups. Who knows.

Yeah I’d like if the family versions were a foldered option we could have for reduced RP

They could be squadron vehicle just like Gripen D
Also does Double seater eft have a gun?

Yes. Or at least it fully supports having one. The muzzle port and vents are still there in the starboard wing root

Can/does it carry any external gun?

There is no external gunpod developed for Eurofighter. Only the internal 27mm

RAF didn’t really want guns on Typhoon at all to begin with, but it turned out to be cheaper to keep the gun than go through the ball-ache of completely re-certifying the plane without a gun, and/or produce ballast with the exact mass and shape of the gun.
So additional external guns would really be of no interest. But the previously mentioned problems of removing the guns give more credence to why the twin seaters also likely have an internal gun if the fittings for the gun are still there.
