Italian one is basically useless, no one talks there. This one and the german one are the relevant ones, also anything that happens to one eurofighter will also affect the others.
Yes ik but i felt the need to point it out since he made a point of mentioning them
Yeah they probably would
Yeah thatβs fair, but SPEAR 3 would almost certainly end up on all typhoons
Most likely, but the specific mentions of the uk are mainly due to the thread being the uk one, not because of any personal bias, thats all i was trying to convey
yeah im fine with that since it means that EFTs will probably all get IRIST and ASRAAM which is a little silly lol
hopefully Eurofighter loadout will look like this eventually ππ
(let me know if i missed something)
Fox-3s on the inner wing pylon
Spoiler
Didnβt you expect this to happen?
You certainly should have
i forgot to say using gaijin logic
And that was your downfall
Whats alarm
Anti Radiation missile
Basically a British harm
Quite a cool HARM.
Unlike other HARM like the AGM-88. If the target switches its radar off, its climbs over the last known position, switches its engine off and deploys a parachute and waits for the target to switch its radar on, then is releases the parachute, fires a secondary motor and slams down onto the target
Should have HARM
I would if I can find an image of it mounted on the airframe
nvm, seems to have integration underway for German typhoons. so for now doesnt operationally have it
Gunna be very hard to find.
Britain retired the ALARM in 2013 and the Tornado GR4 did most of the SEAD role before then. Might find it on the Saudi Typhoon though
You might find a German Typhoon with AGM-88, but again, they use the Tornado IDS for a lot of their SEAD/ECM as well
But I think a bulk of the SEAD is just planned to be done with Spear-3 and guiding them to a location via the RWR
Based upon this source. The intergration was planned but dropped due to ALARMs retirement from the UKβs service
The ALARM, however, is approaching the end of its service life. Although unconfirmed, a 2013 out of service date has appeared on some documents, and the requirement for integration of the missile on Typhoon has been dropped. - Source
Which does make sense. But FnF Brimstones/Spear-3 with a target area set by the RWR should be more than enough in that regard.
But Saudis use both ALARM and Typhoon so they might intergrate it still which would then be enough for us. But Im happy with running the GR4 or maybe in the future the EF3 for dedicated SEAD
