the source given is a presentation about crosseye lol
they even suggest this setup with front and rear crosseye but thats clearly not being done as that would take up the space of those TRDs
i mean yeah
100m offset with the TRD vs 11m offset between wingtips
I like the skin, can you send link?
snail can you finally also model the engines correctly too
Fixed it
honestly,
lol
So after playing a good few games with the F-15E after unlocking the 8xAmraam mod - and then swtching back to the Typhoon…
When are we gonna get a fix for this damn radar, unless you’re only engaing one target, the TWS is useless
Do we have any news at all?
Yeah, its pretty poor. Was doing a load of GSB matches last night and most of my A2A kills were visual acquisitions and then locked using ACM. You cannot rely on the radar to find targets quickly enough in such a tiny battle space and good luck even trying to locate a heli on radar, even one that is moving.
I use exclusively IRST in ground battles.
The Radar gives you away and isnt worth the additional weight.
The French seem to think PIRATE is over performing currently.
I play exclusively Air RB - the stock grind was abit of a pain and it’s nowhere near the dogfighter as the Euro Canards (its hard to see what makes it a 14.0 tbh… but maybe skill issue), but the F-15E’s ability to just fire off multiple Amraams, and go into a notch to guide them in is amazing in comparison - and it still seems the Rafale is the superior jet at top tier, the amraam is fairly easy to dodge, the MICA… you’re going back to the hangar real fast if one of them comes your way
Late game the Typhoon is probably the best medium range fighter due to its ability to mantain speed while pulling silly Gs, but by late game, the Rafale has closed that gap (probably because the radar cant see him coming) and you’re gonna get slapped with a MICA
It’s a very sad state of affairs (but that can also sum up Air RB), I’ve bascially given up with the Typhoon for now
Yeah, im not having as much fun in the Typhoon in ASB as I would have hoped, though its more than just the Typhoon to be blamed. In addition to all its radar and general modeling issues
- ASB sucks for top tier aircraft at the moment
- Every match is Typhoon vs Typhoon
Returned to the game after a three month break. Researched Typhoon. Play exclusively in ARB.
I should say that (compared to the average skill) I’m good enough player, played in good eSports teams in the top-tier air, performing the role of the one responsible for the BVR in 4v4 tournaments. And… as for now Typhoon is terrible.
Every match I have to fight with my own radar, trying to get a lock on anything other than phantom signals, while a whole swarm of missiles are already flying at me. Literally all this thing can do at the moment is get into notch ridiculously quickly after missile launch, which helps at the end of the game, but isnt very useful at its beginning.
At the same time, the Typhoon doesn’t offer any alternative to trying to make your radar work somehow - you only have two 9Ms, which doesn’t allow you to get a quick kill in close combat, as the planes with the R-73 can.
At the moment, I have given up with the Typhoon with a result of 110/38/55 K/D/B. For example, having recently started playing on 15E, the current result on it is 20/2/6. I refuse to play the Eurofighter until its radar is fixed.
Overall K/D/B ratio is not so bad, but playing EF now requires unreasonably huge amount of effort and concentration. It’s sad to see such a beautiful bird limited by terrible implementation.
Having been mulling it over the past while I think we should be able to get 2 ASRAAM/IRIS-T on the outer pylons and have the second inner ones be just 9M. That way the Fr*nch can get 2 MICA-IR and then we can show them who made the better Delta-Canard.
maybe AIM-9X on AH-1Z too (it can only carry 2)
What has that got to do with the eurofighter if you dont mind me asking?
would probably be the first step for new gen IR missiles since range is much shorter on a heli
which would then be leading into the EFT getting its IRIS-T and ASRAAM in the future
