but here its projecting the image into an optic which is reflecting it onto a mirror which is reflecting it onto the visor which then again is reflecting it into the pilot’s eyes
so first binocular HMD with that specific type of projection?

Infinity collimation itself is not new, in fact has been used for quite some time to re-align independently stabilized tank sights with the line of sight of the gun bore without ever having to leave the vehicle.
See the muzzle reference sensor of M1A2 for example;
Integration into a helmet mounted display in that manner is pretty cool. The M1A2’s uses batteries but the M1A1’s used some radioactive material to power the light in the sensor… fun fact.
