There are currently no supercruise reports open on the EFT.

The swiss trials stated 1.4 mach demonstrated supercruise. I stated that the definition isn’t being colloquialized or did you miss that part?

How is it supersonic cruise if it is only supersonic maximum mil thrust?

I believe Flame showed their claim is with air to air ordnance and maybe even a drop tank but I don’t recall.

Sea level height is irrelevant, supercruise would be conducted at high altitudes for any fighter.

What is the developers opinion on the situation then, seeing as the top speed for the Typhoon in-game is limited (clean) to 1.3 mach? Do they not have enough information, do they have questions? What is the holdup there?

well according to the report you showed earlier it needs to be far faster, thanks for the buff

That’s like, a you(r) problem. M1.4 supercruise is M1.4 supercruise.

I think any tech/bug report submitted by selected users in relation to a certain delta-winged-fighter should probably be discounted out of hand. Because with this new and hitherto unknown elastic vocabulary - there’s no telling what kind of whacky reports we’re going to see.

‘Typhoon doesn’t super-cruise according to my personal and incredibly arbitrary definition. Pls nerf.’

‘Typhoon cannon isn’t an actual 17th century cannon on a carriage - so the Typhoon has no cannon. Pls remove gun from Typhoon.’

‘Canards look nothing like ducks. Pls nerf.’

We could go on…

The typhoon is infact a marketing lie and does not exist - plz remove

That in itself is incorrect due to prop typhoon

We’ve got a smart one here guys!

What is the point of the term “Cruise” in “Supercruise”?

The reports were closed if you recall, which is why I’m inquiring about the definition because it seems the developers is different than yours… no?

What if I used ‘nuh uh’ as my source?

Uno reverse card

If you thought for even a second you would realise how stupid this is. It took me all of 3 seconds to realise they are both guided the same way to target and both have the ability to "find2 targets for themselves. So let me simplify it, pirate can guide missiles via DL (DL doesnt care what kind of missile its guiding, all it knows is its guiding a missile). So it doesnt matter if its an ir or arh missile it will get it close enough for the seeker to take over, you wouldnt expect an r27er to hit a target through dl alone so why assume the same for asraam or amraam? Its all a little stupid.

What is your definition of supercruise?

What sensor is sending the DL information

Is this a meme I am missing out on? I already explained;

If you want a short and sweet answer, it is an aircraft that can cruise at supersonic speeds beyond the wave drag barrier most times seen around 1.3 mach.

Note that I say cruise, as in, not at full dry thrust setting.

So you have a different definition for “Supercruise” than everyone else?

I dont see anything in the definition of supercruise saying about not being allowed to use full dry thrust. Other than your goalpost bending

There is no holdup. An answer has already been provided: Community Bug Reporting System

It supercruise now with max speed ~M1.3 at 9000m as supposed, measuring at 11km is incorrect.
As for M1.5, we need more sources to confirm this information.
The dev server fm performance and models could be far from final state,

The performance is currently based on all available public performance data. The devs have not ruled out 1.5m as an impossibility, simply that the most conservative values that can be reliably proven are currently being used. Should clear cut data about the 1.5m conditions become clear, the case can easily be re-reviewed.

It is however very clearly proven the aircraft can supercruise.

The name itself implies cruise

The term is best met by the F-22 which cruises at supersonic speed - unlike the Eurofighter which must be at maximum dry thrust and not at cruise throttle setting.
