That’s because the Rafale radar is AESA with low probability of intercept. This is expected behavior.
Technically, the Eurofighter shouldn’t pick it up at all.

This rule works strictly selectively and when the developers want it to. In the case of IRIS-T and asraam it clearly will not work.
also looks like it doesn’t get drop tanks (yet) though with these engines it’s not a huge issue to sit on stage one afterburner
