It wont find targets properly enough for me to latch the radar onto them, it wont update them fast enough to give a clear picture of whats going on and even when i swtich the radar to a narrow mode it just wont locate the targets within the FoV of the radar properly.
In this situation, if i had tried to join that furball, it would have been pure WVR combat with the no radar
Like in contrast, this was too much effort and micro managing to make it work, but this is what it should be like all the time but with a fraction of the effort
I agree. However, in a low speed fight, the F-14 keeps it’s energy and flight performance better than the EFT. Even though it’s a big aircraft, you can still climb over the EFTs nose and jink. With the Cobra button, that becomes impossible. The EFT will put it’s nose wherever it wants, and since the F-14 can’t take any damage whatsoever, (for no reason it way very durable irl) you lose flight control or something and go down easily.
Also, because they don’t simulate the wingsweep very well (or at all) the F-14 is underestimated a lot of the time. And the graphs become unusable above 50 wing sweep. So it’s not factoring the speed bleed you get with the wings tucked in or the high speed pull at all.
Reported the lack of DASS missile escape commands/symbology. EFT should direct you into a notch, and can even generate a multi-stage escape manoeuvre with timings between turns.
You should get;
A directional arrow guiding you into the “notch” with the required G loading.
A boxed overlay on the HUD marking the safe zone
Voice-prompted commands indicating the escape vector
Would be nice to know if I’m notching properly I suppose… other than that it just sets us up well for more MAWS functionality. Like when BRITECLOUD and TRD’s rock up we might not even need stealth to remain competitive given the number and volume and quality of defensive aids available
yeah I had a feeling lol, we can always hope it will be as good as nuclear option (tbf notching in that game is made way easier with the fact most planes have built in jammers)
My method of getting new stuff is incremental suggestions that eventually lead us to full Sensor Fusion. Asking for the full thing is unattainable in a single patch, so piece by piece we will get there.
