Definetly an upgrade over the tornados and certainly usable. But given just how many nerfs it’s A2G has at the moment (and that’s not even including the whole MMW situation) it’s rather annoying. Even basic GBU options are being withheld from the typhoon.

Gaijin are simping the Rafale hard right now.
They have buried the Typhoon.
All to make the Su-30 have a better chance.
The fictious cobra button AOA overide is purely for slow speed recovery and not to be used as a combat trick.
I have seen the Typhoon display twice at different shows and I have never seen a Typhoon pull a cobra!

the MMW being withheld i can somewhat understand, 18 MMW brimstones would be just NATO version of Su30SM/Su34 combo since they do tend to be one to two shot kills. I wouldnt say no to 6 FnF brimstones (as a compromise) but theyve already said no because “its unrealistic” which is somewhat ironic.
The SAL brimstones arent the worst thing ever and to be honest i prefer them over mavericks a lot since they are also incredibly good at dealing with helicopters.
The only other thing i can think of that they are keeping away are SPEAR 3s which could be technically added, they are just effectively GPS SAL brimstones (will probably not be MMW even if they add them) and Taurus KEPD for german EF and StormShadow for British EF.
And since there were leaks of Kh59 being added which is a cruise missile, i dont see why these two shouldnt be added, Taurus is just a 400kg GPS guided missile that flies at 50m range. As for storm shadow idk much about it
Like i said, not mentioning MMW there are a load of nerfs. I agree quantity needs mitigation and SAL is fine short term. But a better solution needs to be found because it sucks in gamemodes like ASB. But other nerfs include

Missing GMTI radar
And even withwise brimstones. Typhoon never used brimstones 1s, we could and should have SAL only Brimstone 2s. Would be much fairer and actually semi-historically accurate

I see the dynamic and it makes me laugh all the time.
EF is introduced without most of its features, brimmstones are crippled in the worst way possible → Well at least it’s usable as CAS and is the best gunfighting duelist in the game (hell with the radar if they didn’t absolutely destroy visibility in ARB - I would have such a great time playing it there) —> They add some features, that doesn’t work properly, at the same time butcher the flight model + somehow made the radar worse while trying to fix it.
And the funniest thing being that somehow the fresh new mechanic of TVC - works perfectly freaking fine, no bugs there afaik, it even compensate automatically if you lose your damn wing. New features for the radar work for su-30, because it’s radar is just astronomical units ahead of whatever the mess EFT has. It’s CAS performance haven’t been nerfed even slightly despite many people being concerned. Well, you know what I mean. The EFT while already being a cripple in a wheelchair got smacked with a tungsten cube, while someone has perfectly functioning aircraft (minus the funny gear bug at the begining).

I just switched to playing Japan rn, gripen feels better than before (and it already was very fun to fly) and with gaijin making typhoon not really fun to fly the gripen has become a viable subsidy.
Idk if gaijin is ever gonna fix the typhoon, it just feels like every update made to fix things breaks more things or makes more things worse. Which is a shame

If brimstones had their proxy fuze - I would use them as APS, which would be at least fun to do.

While i was grinding my Su-30 i killed many F-18’s in my Talismaned Su-27 thanks to that button.
People criminally underesitmates that ability+R-73, Su series became much deadlier than before.

What do you mean by gripen eats them alive? Better turn? If so that is blatantly untrue. Both the Rafailure and EF are better in basically every speed besides 450 kph and below when trying to convert speed to turn.
Yeah, as far as I’m aware, the Typhoon should be THE medium-high speed rate fighter, I’ve watched interviews with pilots who’ve flown all sorts of 4-5th gens say its engine power makes it a menace, it just isn’t the best at low speed
Someone can probably back that up with facts and figures - but Gaijin has shown it doesnt really care about any of that nonsense

Yea, this has been waiting for gaijin to implement for over a year now, same thing really, just make it have proximity fuze like they did with vikhrs.
Unfortunately they keep adding more new premiums instead of actually getting to fix things.
Some things like 2PL missing spall liners has been accepted for over a half a year

Very true, especially with the ability the 27sm has at recovering due to the better engines (if you were referring to the SM btw). Gotta admit the flankers are not to be underestimated with that button :D
My regular Su-27 is talismaned, even then its such dangerous craft now.
With SM it only gets more.
