u dont know about the anti grav fuel tanks?
yeah i meant 5 tonnes
unless…
lmao forgive my ignorance
Advertisement showing double bomb racks on the inner pylons(they’ve shown this before, even on real aircraft or at least on mockups)
4 x MBDA Meteor
2 x ASRAAM
6 x Brimstone (2 racks of 3)
2 Storm Shadows
4 x LGB’s (2x2 double racks on inner pylon)
1 x Centerline mounted TGP
Same loadout but on IRL aircraft :)
how i hope the german and italian eurofighters get the same loadout because they all are compatible with brimstone right from the start (tranche 2 if i remember right), just gotta switch asraam with iris t and storm with taurus,
And i could be wrong here, but wouldnt this loadout be even heavier then the 14meteor 2 asraam/iris t loadout that was shown once?
Bet gaijins gonna pull the whole “pics or it didnt happen!” thing they like to do with germany just to screw them over
i would argue that but the mig 29 has r27er and et xD so we never know
I think tranche 3, but I could be wrong
seems to be tranche 2 already
I would encourage Eurofighter loadouts being standardised, but if Germany was to then receive the AMK kit and neither of the others, then I would have a problem.
All nations have tranche 1,2 and 3 and then all nations have either Tranche 3A or Tranche 4 which in-game would be equivalent, very easy to keep them consistent.
we should be happy with standardized loadouts, gotta remember german eurofighters dont have IRIST like that everyone keeps a bit uniqueness
True the IRST may play a factor but also Germany does and has mounted the IRST to a few of their aircraft.
If they got the IRST plus AMK I’d still have a problem because its the same as the UK saying well we could mount AMK, we just choose not to.
I think they should honestly standardise them through tranche standard and realistically the SRAAM differences wouldn’t be massive in terms of BR placement, plus the UK could always get ASRAAM P3I as its specified enough and based on the built ASRAAM.
honestly no idea, how does SRAAM compare to IRIS-T? i just know i dont want my eurofighter with aim 9l (i)
i think that is mostly the test aircrafts currently
No SRAAM as in short range air to air missile.
ASRAAM which is the UK missile is overall worse other than in terms of range, ASRAAM and AIM-9X are more comparable due to the same seeker.
IRIS-T has DIRCM resistance higher than ASRAAM due to a two-colour seeker (?) which ASRAAM just doesn’t have, in addition to thrust vectoring giving it a rumoured 100g of pull compared to ASRAAM’s 50, however ASRAAM’s predicted range is more than double and the 50g’s of pull is respectable, ASRAAM is also faster.
ASRAAM P3I would incorporate thrust vectoring coupled with the original ASRAAM seeker and a shorter range, I’d guess around 35km instead of the ASRAAM’s normal 50km range. But also ASRAAM P3I whilst proposed, there’s no evidence it was built, just that it had all its technical specifications mentioned.
AIM-9Li would be comparable to AIM-9M but I wouldn’t want my eurofighter to have any equipment worse than whatever the F-15 is using.
Yeah, and that should be fairly easily done. With some exception
Storm Shadow vs Taurus
ASRAAM vs IRIS-T
DIfferent T-Pods? (that I dont actually know)
It is but they are still part of Germany’s Eurofighter fleet and Gaijin has no exemptions to adding test features to airframes, it will highly depend on who gets what. Germany could get the IRST as well as the AMK kit which I would definitely have a problem with.
I think…
IRIS-T would be the superior dogfighting missile, for close range (sub 10km)
They’d be about equal at medium range (10-20km)
ASRAAM has longer range and so could be potent out to 50km
So German Typhoons would want to close the gap, RAF Typhoons would want to keep at range a bit
Dircm? I think you messed something up.
