Infinity collimation itself is not new, in fact has been used for quite some time to re-align independently stabilized tank sights with the line of sight of the gun bore without ever having to leave the vehicle.
See the muzzle reference sensor of M1A2 for example;
Integration into a helmet mounted display in that manner is pretty cool. The M1A2’s uses batteries but the M1A1’s used some radioactive material to power the light in the sensor… fun fact.
Stole this from the gszabi discord server. Actually, 2 questions. No, 3.
1 - What is Cross Eye?
2 - The German Typhoon really doesn’t have a MAW in the rear hemisphere?
3 - What about the Austrians’ DASS?
Thats an old image u can see the rear MAW on German planes.
About Cross Eye i am not that much into to it. to explain it in a technical way but i understood it as that the enemy Radar sees u not on the exact location that u are.
If u understand German u can read up on it on Wiki
