Hey, we’ve got a report in for the fr_thales_rbe2 as well as uk_captor_m_pirate. Hasn’t been forgotten about don’t worry.
Nice (don’t forget the V004, tho).
Was just trying to pass onto this bit of info. Scouring the configs for bugs can take a long time, so a hint might speed things up (assuming I am correct).
Nah. My microwave is one and a half times more powerful. 900 watts. :D
So there was such a rush that they didn’t even add camouflage?
Wait is that the pulse power of the radar or what is that value? If so the pulse power should be ~9 kW as it was stated to be reaching double the pulse power of the APG-65 which has a pulse power of 4,5 kW.
(and shouldn’t “transivers” be “transceivers”?)
If I understand this value correctly - then yes. For comparison, for Tornado F.3 this parameter is 2000
Those who know what’s wrong with it - can someone explain it to me like im 5 as to what is actually wrong with the radar currently
Just had a test fly of the F-15E and the difference is night and day in terms of tracking performance, even the F3 Late seems to be considerably better at engaging multiple targets
Then shouldn’t the pulse power be ~9 kW as it was stated to be reaching double the pulse power of the APG-65 which has a pulse power of 4,5 kW.
Because it is almost 3.5 times less powerful and 2.5 times slower. And the current radar has a half-sensitivity angle of 4, while Foxhunter (not me) has 2.8.
That is, AI.24 is more powerful, faster and more accurate.
If its the same issue affecting it like it was before on the dev server.
Between radar scans the radar is making an educated guess on where the aircraft based upon its previous direction of travel (INS). But only for a certain length of time. For similar radars, like Blue Vixen, this is set to 8 seconds, so if the target isnt re-scanned in 8 seconds, the radar stops tracking it. On CAPTOR-M its set to 4 seconds, which isnt enough time to re-scan the target and so it just resets the radar
Overall though, the CAPTOR-M is just massively underperforming in most aspects. Some have been reported, others are awaiting the finding of sources
Guys, check the gun on British and Italian Typhoons (and see if you can find it when looking from outside, no xray)
If you mean that the gun is hidden by a cover, that is like that in real life too as the first bullet fired pierces the cover. This is meant to protect the gun during flight until it gets used. A new cover gets mounted on the ground before every sortie.
Like on early Spitfire and Hurricane?
If its like that there too then yes as I didn’t know they hid the gun ports by covers too.
Yea but the cover stays when shooting and why it isnt covered on the german Typhoon?
Then that’s (visually) bugged and should be reported :)
That’s a good question…
We’ve missed something HUGE.
Its got DROP TANKS!
1000L? Not really that big. Although the fuel consumption of the EZh200 is low, so it seems like there is no need for big ones.
My general finding was that I wouldnt really need more than 1-2. but for Sim the lack of any would have really sucked and I would have spent most of my time fuel managing, which would have been really annoying, so glad its got them
