The Devs have said they are not accepting FM bug reports on the Eurofighter because of how heavily WIP the flight model is. So I expect it will change a fair amount.
Which one was that?

But the performance of typhoon radar is really bad now, especially the TWS mode.
There is no doubt that it is going to be changed. No way that it will remain like this.
The issue is getting sources. My hope. at a bare minimum, they upgrade the scan rate to match FoxHunter.
As I mentioned, I am not looking into the FM until Gaijin give us a more polished version (there’s no point as they are rejecting all FM reports). However, the numbers on the Eurofighter website are understating the true performance.
For example the website says brakes off to Mach 1.5 @ 35,000 ft in under 2.5 mins.
Meanwhile BAE Systems claim it is brakes off to Mach 1.6 @ 36,000 ft in under 2.5 mins in their datasheet. And Eurofighter also use those more impressive numbers in a presentation they gave.
As for acceleration the website claims 200 kts to Mach 1.0 in 30 seconds. However the BAE Systems datasheet I posted above says brake release to Mach 1 in under 30 seconds.
And again Eurofighter use those numbers in their marketing material as well:
FM is a placeholder guys, we’re not accepting reports on this version of it as an improved version is already on the way.
My issue with that video is it’s being done on an aircraft with no missiles and minimum fuel
Alright, good to know.
Should be able to, its the same pylon as the wing pylon that carries the AMRAAM (ALDERU iirc?) and there have been references to it by the consortium itself, its just “never been seen” so they arent giving it.
Quick question/suggestion; I get that the FM is a placeholder, but whats the point of allowing bug reports if everything on the dev server is a placeholder anyways and the bug reports will be closed as such? Wouldnt it make more sense to leave the accepted bug reports open until the non-placeholder stuff is implemented?
I can understand it from the Devs point of view. If you know that the FM you are working on is nowhere near finished, and you plan to keep working on it to the point where it will not resemble the current state anymore , then having hundreds of reports submitted on it just wastes everyone’s time.
Compared to something like the cockpit where you might think it is pretty much done so appreciate the reports.
Has there been any dev comment regarding the radar?
Looks like a tweaked Blue Vixen currently. I imagine it will stay that way until people submit reports.
Improved? Or downgraded? :>
Gunjob, we know you’re excited as well, give us estimates if possible.
If you’re being held hostage - you can answer with “^” for improvement and “v” for a downgrade.
Yeah, here’s hoping though that the Devs plan a sort of “buffed” blue vixen placeholder until then.
And if you need to be rescued from your kidnappers, cough twice
:P
Probably improvement in some aspects
downgrade in others
Just the way it is. The FM on Dev was a quick pass to get it ready for the teasers etc. Think it’s more a product of the smaller time window we’re working with after the last patch ran over abit.
I’m currently expecting a minor, but overall buff to the airframe
I’m expecting some aspects to be nerfed a little.
Yeah, some things nerfed, some things buffed, but as an overall net outcome for it to be for the positive. Things like the big boost to dry thrust would be quite major based upon my experience on the dev so far. the afterburner is really thirsty, especially with no tanks yet
