ok so ppl are talking about how it can pull 9g until its fuel runs out, can carry same amount of ARH, and can supercruise, has a better mechanical radar, but also say its comparable to the C and E ingame
at the very least let us have the realistic radar advantage over early typhoons
Because it will serve the same role in the game, and a majority will play it exactly the same as the E, in which an early typhoon is practially identical, given it has 4 AMRAAMs and 4-6x IR missiles but on addition likely aim-9Ms
so now expected playstyle is the defining factor for whether an aircraft is equal or not? and i know its able to carry more than 4 amraams you are severly downplaying its capacity for ARH. once they come in close the typhoon has every advantage
It can carry 6 AMRAAM its actual flight performance aswell eclipses the F15-E in terms of manoeuvres and acceleration only place it don’t is top speed. Doesnt matter if it can play the same it will do it far better not to mention its also having better countermeasures suite and IRST
Yes, because it’s a 4.5 gen and the F-15s are 4th gen, and thus there is a fairly obvious disparity in their capabilities, however it won’t be able to outperform the F-15s in BVR until the addition of the Meteor because they will both share similar fox-3 firing envelopes, so in the meta they will function the same as long as the best missile in game is the AIM-120
6 is possible, its just not proven that it can carry AMRAAM on the inner wing pylon, but AMRAAM/Meteor can be carried on the 2nd outer pylon, but then you’d sacrifice a TMC pylon, which if you have ASRAAM possibly is not worth it.
I just wish they would reduce multipath of top tier ARHs to 40m, ground hugging is still too rewarding / common. (Something that caused an increase of airfield camping lately from my experience.)
yeah, its nuts. The maps are too flat. They should just go and make early radar missiles ending with skyflash, 7E2, 7F and R24R - 60 meters, mid life - R27s, 7M, Aspide, super temp, S530F 40m and fox 3s… make it 20-25 for it to barely work. Even that 20 figure is achievable on some maps but you might get splashed from ground impact.
I’m confused. I thought Eurofighters had CAPTOR radars. Either CAPTOR E or M. And M is an AESA system.
But this seems to be some form of upgrade to captor E that still mechanically wants to move the AESA "dish? " “plate?” what do you call that part?
