because an actual brimstone outclasses the AASM and KH38 by far, LOAL is not something that should be implemented in warthunder, arguably gaijin could’ve implemented the brimstone as lock on and fire and forget, but they didn’t, probably because they knew the eurofighter was going to get 18 of them, and 18 fire and forget missiles would’ve just made the problem even worse
Thats what im talking about just give it something like IR tergeting such as AGM65, PARS, Spike, AASM, etc. At least still FnF… Even in test drive this missile can’t kill TOR in one try, and need 3-4 missile for some weird reason. Sometime it can got 1 tap TOR but not often.

Brimstones also have an FnF guidance mode. It’s not just limited to LOAL and SAL guidance. Gaijin’s reasoning for not giving it FnF guidance is that it can track through soft cover like smoke and trees, which isn’t a very good reason given that the KH-38MT is much better in every other way.

I think you used the wrong word here.
Who smart enough to bring 18 brimstone without A2A. Eventhough they are exist they cant live longer lol. And this brimstone have less damage than agm65. And need more than 1 missile for 1 target.
? you only lose 2 missiles by carrying 18 brimstones, you still get 6 missiles, also name 1 plane with 9 agm65

This missile even have less he filler than AGM65 this thing only works with quantity.
Ah, I see. As long as the longer range and more reliable SAM systems are added like Gaijin say they will, FnF Brimstones won’t be nearly as much of a problem.

If you dont like the Brimstones use the LGBU JDAMS set the point and dump them on the spawn where most of the SAMs sit. They are the only targets you need for FnF weapons for.

Thats what I’ve done rn. But it feels so unfair being spammed by AASM, KH38, AGM65, PGM from far away and they are at outrange for other SPAA except pantsir. And the best thing it can track moving target. And Captor M have issue rn with is keep tracking ghost. Am I need tell more issue about this plane? Eventhough they fix several issues yesterday.
It does, I would learn to live with the possibility of never seeing the Radar Brimstones in game :(
Wouldn’t mind it if Gaijin were to fudge the Brimstones a bit and give 'em an IR F&F mode… :p
But! But! That would be ahistorical! Ignores the British Phantoms having pulse radars and the Magic II not having IRCCM in the past

The stance was the system is the system, no FnF mode be it IR/TV etc you guide it in with a laser.
On Tornado this was challenging.
It honestly still is challenging even on the EFT due to how slow Brim 1s are. I tend to out-run my own Brimstones to the target.
Wish they’d give us Brim 2s, iirc they’re faster.
And with about twice the range, if I remember correctly.
