I just noticed that on HUD AIM-120’s designated as SRAAM missiles while on Dev Server they were designated as MRAAM.
@Gunjob do you have any information about this? It seems like something is wrong.

Well the Rafale has 8 MICAs now…
EFT still has the edge in terms of survivability and flight model, all we need are improvements for radar and PIRATE IRST for German model if we can get.

German Eurofighters never had IRST (IPA7 doesn’t count)
Do not compare it to HMD on the Rafale is not the same
IRST installation requires chang3s to the aircraft
It was tested on German EFT’s just like HMD and 8 MICA’s, so this is rather lame excuse.

It was on IPA7 which is a test bed aircraft owned by the Consortium with physical changes

If anyone else has any videos or images of ghost targets please stick them in the comments. Also include a game log file if possible.
8 MICA’s are also tested with test aircraft, French air force itself didnt do that as well.
As i’ve said this is lame excuse to not give PIRATE IRST to German EFT.

yeah I know its just a shame that the missiles don’t really match the planes strengths, MICAs and the Rafale’s airframe are an epic combo at close range.
Well thats why France left the EFT program and created their own planes for almost any situation.
If MICA gets its historical performance it will be even more dangerous in any situation.

IRST doesnt require completely new airframe, its a modification can be applied to existing airframes as well, just like making modifications on pylons.

Both HMD and pylons requires modifications on existed frames, you cant just slap HMD and additional missiles to airframe without changes on FCS,airframe and Computer systems.

The pylons is more of a question it the wiring for them is there or not which it seems that at somepoint it was
IRST on a Eurofighter is not that
If you want a German Eurofighter with IRST suggest IPA7
It seems that you wanna keep your British EFT better than German one, cant say im surprised.
Difference is the MICAs for Rafale are in the official manual and listed. Like the F-15E
Typhoon we dont have a manual or official releases to say this is possible and has been done before.
Even though we know each weapon station has the ability to fit the universal ejector pylons
IRST is lightyears away from being useful in game

another difference is that being at 14.0 without an IRST is way less significant than being at 14.0 with only 6 missiles
