i cant imagine the BAAINBw being happy about any of this as it introduces another 2 missile types(C-8 and actually AIM-9X as well)

Jokes aside, it’s a double edged sword. If BAAINBw was to want to integrate IRIS-T on the F-35s, they’d have to share all of its secrets with the US (big nuh uh).
I dont expect sharing the details to be that big of a deal; the US will be the culprit again. And the Bundestag for not giving enough funding…

I’m of the opinion that MBDA could integrate IRIS-T and Meteor without the source code, but aren’t going to push it because it keeps locksneed happy and apparently they’re one of the only ones allowed to fix the F-35. This is a real US-MIC moment, locksneed kept basically all of the intellectual property and can dictate what other countries do with the plane to a certain degree
So the eurofighter will most likely be stuck with aim120b and aim9m? Or which missiles does it use in service atm?
Meteor as bvr and iris-t/asraam as short range missles. Seems like smin once again denied eurofighters so we might actualy see the short range missles on release

U are aware that the Meteor wasnt purely developed by the UK right? UK owns like 40% and germany 16%.
To be specific germany got 150 meteors ordered in 2013 delivered between 2016 and 2018.
Then again ordered another 100 in 2019

Whats intresting is that the Software Update to use Meteor on EF also contained the ability to use Storm Shadow

Meh, it will get whatever 120C is in the game by that point for balance purposes. Same as with UK’s 39C using SkyFlashes & 9Ms (South Africa had neither, and IRIS-T would be too overpowered).
Huh so id assume we’ll get a eurof without these missiles first and then a second variant with meteor and iris t.

depends on gajin, they arent standard on our eurofighters but we do have them for testing etc
and keep it open to install them at any point
That being said, it could be balanced with germany being the only nation to receive the AMK-Kit for the eurofighters

Aerodynamics Modification Kit
Developed as part of a wider Eurofighter Enhanced Manoeuvrability (EFEM) programme, the AMK package of aerodynamic upgrades is expected to further enhance the aircraft’s agility and weapons-carrying ability.
Upgrades include primarily the addition of fuselage strakes and root extensions to increase the maximum lift created by the wing by 25%.
This will lead to an increased turn rate, tighter turning radius, and enhanced nose-pointing ability at low-speed, which form the critical fighter capabilities in air-to-air combat.
"We saw angle of attack values around 45% greater than on the standard aircraft, and roll rates up to 100% higher, all leading to increased agility. The handling qualities appeared to be markedly improved, providing more manoeuvrability, agility and precision while performing tasks representative of in-service operations.
It is a slightly sour point for many UK players that theoreticaly only germany would currently get that one, thats why many agree we should just get standard EFS with IRST for all EFS.
But theoreticaly germany could have the best dog fighting EF

Do you guys think theyll give r77 for the mig 29? Seems like a stretch even for gaijin.

this… sadly just this. Aim 9L(I)/M are required, if gajins wants to make the plane at least useable IRIS-T would work because the F4f ICE doesnt have HMD, so no other the shoulder shoots.
Besides that we gotta pray for switz F/A 18 or trialed vehicles. or dutch f16 etc
