I think you’re mixing things here.
Arexis jammers are ASPJ extensions of the DASS.
Escort Jammer is something completely different, with different power, freq. bands and scheduling.
Eg. EF ECR flies in range, targets preplanned emitters (BUK TADS, NEBO surveillance radar, etc.), turns the “Music on”, ie. starts a barrage jamming across the target’s frequencies disallowing defending radar to see and defend itself. Then DEAD package moves in for a kill with HARM for active elements in the site and SPEAR with MMW radars for passive, or the elements that turned the emissions off.
Arexis hasn’t nearly the kinda power, bandwidth, nor scheduling, you need to do this.

True, tho EF EK step 2 has not been finalised yet and only EF EK step 1 has be procured, EF EK step 2 contains the Escort jammers, so its still unclear how theyll move ahead with escortjamming
Yeah, probably. What we have now in game, +EF2000 (AESA), is probably capable of being a DEAD element. You see on renderings ECR is a two seater, like Growler. It’s a sh1tload of work and the guy in the back comes in handy.
not really the AESA one we have would have need to have AREXIS if we want a EF EK step 1 as its part of the 1st step and AARGM, and gaijin would have to admit its a T4
Where does it say the plane needs Arexis to carry HARM?
The whole point of a DEAD package is a kill. The protection and targeting is provided by OCA packages and ECR packages. If the current +EF2000(AESA) is capable of carrying HARM, it is capable of being in a DEAD package. The only issue is number of missiles, which is why I posted it here.
if we are being specific to the german EF´s the EK step 1 is the SEAD version, as they are replacing the tornado ECR in that role, which has AREXIS and AARGM, i do not know if the other EF´s are harm carriers or not, i only know what the EK is and should do.
Take a look at the Airbus picture and tell whether both SEAD and DEAD elements carry Arexis on the tips.
Eurofighter is a modularly built plane. You can have various level of equipment for various types of missions within the same airframe. Eg. if the plane’s port jamming module is busted and the LRU is sent for repairs, or for whatever reason the spare isn’t available, the plane can still be (and is) used in the missions that don’t require that module present on the plane. It’s a common thing in modern aircraft, particularly in exercises.
And about Arexis…
It looks like a combo of HTS and ASPJ.
It doesn’t have the ability to barrage jam targeted radars, almost certainly.
Looks like it has DIRCM, however…

yes you are missing the T5 btw, and since gaijin you should split up the EK in step 1 and step 2
okay i was talkin about IRL and yes ingame we only have HARMS, which only leaves us with DEAD.
And also the entire setup of the german EF is fictional as they BW only uses HARMs on the tornado ECR afaik, and as i said and multiple offical doc also say the EF EK step one is only for SEAD. (which btw goes kinda in hand with DEAD)
in a great world, to keep the german air tree from dying there is a F-16 option we could get at one point.

No, will it sth to farm and play? Yes
F-16 would be good since it would be at 13.7 and currently Germany has no 13.7, but alot of people won’t like that
honestly, with the pucara added, i dont see much of a reason to not add the argentinian F-16 either

Argentina is also upgrading their F16s so there’s also potential for an even later model to come with that same line. We just transferred I think the last of our old f16s to Argentina iirc
