Again, I just think the difference between Mk1 and Mk2 in actual matches is being blown MASSIVELY out of proportion. The way german mains describe it, it sounds like the German Typhoon has a fixed array limited to +/- 60 at most. That is not the case.
99% of the time, I doubt you will actually realistically notice a difference.
And no, I dont agree. Because again, the difference between Mk1 and Mk2 is small. The difference between AMK and no AMK is huge. It would be akin to giving Britain Brismtone 2s to compensate for not having GBU-48/ePaveway IIs. Would you consider that a fair trade?
That BVR better is not at all equal to WVR better. Italian and UK Typhoons would be slightly better than the German one at some very specific scenarios but German Typhoon would be exceptionally powerful in WVR and would wipe the floor with every single vehicle in game.
As we have seen before, they will keep aircraft as similar as possible. Like how they nearly denied the Tornado F3 a radar upgrade because they werent sure that Italy had the same upgrade.
I agree that the AMK advantage would probably be more than the MK2 over MK1 advantage. I just think that its kinda hypocritical to accuse germany players of whining for a better EFT while being completely contempt with the UK rn having a straight up better on in every regard. And like i said in the other thread its just massively frustrating seeing every bit of equipment shared except when germany would benefit and then when germany could actually have an advantage it gets shared instantly
Let’s say someone wants to get a eurofighter tyhphoon. You tell them they’re all the same except the german typhoon has a radar with only 10 degrees less than the other two typhoons. You think they’re gonna choose the german typhoon still?
