Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet (Part 1)

thank you morvran, your comment seems very logical and thanks again for explaining. And yeah I have both the eurofighter and the rafale and the f18, and out of all of them rafale is the most fun, cuz of its radar, eurofighter i lose locks so many times its really buggy

Yep, that is the same for everyone. I’ve basically stopped playing top tier for now. I cant be bothered to deal with the Typhoons issues.

I also hope we get a BOL overhaul (the 320 CMs on the Typhoon) because they are underperforming to an extreme degree. That would be a massive buff for the Typhoon and many other aircraft too.

You can read about whats wrong here with Flame’s post:

Gen 5 IIR missiles would be a harsh environment for anyone to play in if they don’t have an aircraft with MAWS. IIRC, it was said on a Russian dev-stream that they would like to add more aircrafts with MAWS to more nations before adding IIR missiles, otherwise it would just be another Typhoon/Rafale dominating everyone else situation. Su-35S for Russia, J-10C for China, not sure about the US but I know it will be painful for them if they’re getting deleted from 30-40km out from an IIR missile that they had no warning of (but historically accurate).

Yes, there’s absolutely zero reason we wouldn’t see other Eurocanards that have AESA.

well nobody said sth about needing to add the “extreme” long range IIR missles at the start.
Replacements for the Aim 9M and R-73 range of missles would do it for now.

Lets face it, Rafale doesnt need IIR missles right now, considering their Mica is still the strongest short range missle right now

and most of the options for nations would have atleast 15-20km of range on the low end

Tbf, the R-73 in game already has a stated 35km launch range, for some reason

the 15-20km is effective range and not max range

and thats on the low end for the next gen missiles

Smin stated IIR missiles would come for all nations at the same time.

Asraam trough indian rafales.
Nobody says it needs to be the mica

Indian aircrafts are slated for UK, this is unfortunately out of the question. And they never equipped ASRAAM to my knowledge.

ok so you can get the indian double rails for your aircraft but not the asraam?
Gajin doesnt care about who used what. if its integrated you are good to get them

But again, no proof of Asraam being integrated or on what pylons and etc.

bc the indians dont use the asraam on the rafale

they use it on the su30

ehh i dont know anymore. to much of a mishmash country

maybe they integrated the ASRAAM on the rafale, but then there are no documents or pictures confirming it, so for the sake of this argument they didnt

What Indian double rails you speak of?

Typically being the keyword here. Last year’s was quite large and I think the amount of stuff added was one of the reason the December update was « late » (compared to usual schedule), as they needed to crunch more to get even more new models.

I think October would be on the of best update to introduce AESA radars to currently available planes (hopefully not through a completely new research for just a radar and new skin), as it would require less new models and give more time for devs to work on December update which is usually the hype update of the year with the June one

It was only really the DX12/Ray Tracing that caused it to be late.

Im personally guessing ARM maybe this update. SEAD would be about the right size
