Is there any plans to give the Typhoon its historically accurate Brimstone 2? (can still be SAL) as no Typhoon ever equipped and used Brimstone 1s except maybe an RAF one, but as far as I am aware, the fitting of Brimstones onto Typhoon occured after Brimstone 2 entered service and so, have to assume they tested and fitted Brimstone 2s not Brimstone 1s

SAL requires a different seeker head. From this point, its a “dual mode” Brimstone and different from the baseline Brimstone 1 which does not have a SAL compatible seeker.
A suggestion has currently been passed for Brimstone 2. However we dont currently have any updates to report on that.
The German EF isn’t getting IRST because it wasn’t part of the service equipment and only tested

yes the brimstones had there seekers upgraded to dual mode for Afghanistan but retain the same motor as Brimstone 1
It already has been numerous times and explained why it is locked to SAL mode and clearly defined as that.
Indeed. But they become Brimstone Dual Mode. Not just Brimstone 1. Baseline Brimstone 1s cannot use SAL mode.

You know PIRATE will never work like it does IRL in game. It offers limited to no advantage at all
Hopefully we will get the ability to guide AMRAAMs via an IR lock. That would give it quite decent value, especially in Sim

However yes thats correct, and the German EFT gets AIM-9M and Brimstone SAL on the same basis as the Rafale getting its HMD and MICA. Because they were possible.
Other future versions of both airframes with other features or weaponry remain possible.
We might get when as per usual the US and Russians have an IRST system that can do the same.
Tested. Why Gaijin give what tested to one and make a reason “nuh uh non-historical” for others?

Germany has more than its equal share of this rule too. AIM-9M was not even tested for example on German EFTs, but they were added too for the German version based on feedback by some of the same individuals here now complaining.

Not at all. However PIRATE is one of the key distinguishing features between the 3 variants in game.
As we have mentioned a couple of times now, future variants remain possible (and also to suggest).
