They could have made them work like russian KH- fire and forget missiles. No reason to make them lol laser guided bombs with rocket engine.

They can restrict the loadout count? All I know is that laser guided stuff becomes meaningless above 10.7 BR - 11.0 BR. SPAAs are too powerful for jets which need to hold laserlocks. Its suicide.

They said the reason they don’t want to add ir or tv seekers on them is because it wouldn’t be accurate. So they limited them to only use the laser mode. Even if they only had ir they would be op, if they went back on the the accuracy part and made them tv at least that would be good but it wont happen.
We need to look into it further, because if Typhoon has the ability to perform evasive maneuvers while still lasing the target - they’re cooked, packed and sent via doordash to the closest garbage disposal facility. By them I mean pantsirs - the only SPAA that can somewhat pose a threat to typhoon.
I never used brimstones but they have iog so theoretically you could launch them with a laser lock, stop your laser and defend/make distance while the brimstone cruises toward the target. It would still take a lot of time but you should be safe?
Tornado also uses the same pod. As soon as you bank or try to fly perpendicular the bomb is lost, the lock always breaks.
Tornado GR4 players seem to be killing pantsir left right and centre so…

More importantly, if you’re going to hold a laser lock why not just drop a much more potent gbu vs a brimstone thats got a limited payload. like sure you can carry more, but you can already carry 8 missiles plus 8gbus.

It’s not only a matter of pod, but it’s placement as well as aircraft size + mount type. We’ll have to try it first. I don’t have any time currently to deal vith dev server, so if someone wishes to make such tests - I’ll kiss him on the lips. And by evasive maneuvers I don’t exactly mean something cooler, like flying straight at him and performing anti aim7m maneuver.

You can outrange the pantsir completely with the brimstone. Only issue is it takes like 2 minutes for it to reach from 18km
