Main difference in Trance 1 Block 2 and Block 5 is that the 5 has AGMs?
I think only Laser Guided Bombs for block 5

Ahhhh. I hope to God the Block 5 comes… No HMD would be devastating.
No reason not to have it, US are getting JHMCS systems that only the most modern aircraft had.
The same luxury should be extended to Germany, Britain and Italy

Adds highly specific real-life variant that specifically doesn’t have the upgrade, “Well you see this is a very specific one that didn’t have that, so technically its fine.”
HMD isn’t that useful, unless you have a HOB. As Germany and Britain will not receive there HOBs the Aim9M is good but not for those high aspect shots like the R-73 or Magic 2.

Isn’t HMD the same as HMS? Where I can free-cam my reticle?

Then, personally, that is a must-have for me. Not being able to free-cam the reticle is a massive hinderance, especially when the radar is locked onto something random, and you need to swap fast.

Granted, the only HMD I’ve used is the one on the Mig29G, and with the TVC of the R73, its incredibly useful. Especially when switching from IR to Radar missiles.

HMS = Helmet mounted Sight (offers only an marker for your Missile)(Example Mig-29G)
HMD = Helmet mounted Display (offers you an full Display of Informations like altitute/Speed/(IFF Marker (example A-10C))…

HMS is only targeting, HMD is a suite of everything. Both could be on the same visor, but are 2 different things.
