The big problem now is that the SAAF gripen will get MS20 upgrades because gaijin didn’t know that MS was a thing and now thanks to there being no currently known official SAAF docs for their gripens MS we cant deny them things they dont have. SAAB is also not a valid source apparently…
Mav G’s were mounted on the Hungarian MS19 in 2018, iirc 2022 is when they moved to the MS20 standard, like every other nations that uses gripens aside from SA. So yes Mav G’s were added to the HU correctly and can be mounted to the swedish version and the SAAF but only the SAAF never purchased any Mavs to begin with. You could argue they should be removed from the Swedish gripen and i wont argue since they didn’t use them but i will say they have a better argument to getting them than the SAAF gripen does. But i digress this is the EFT thread not the Inaccuracies of the Gripen thread.
So what will likely happen is that Gaijin adds it with the 6/6 (AMRAAM/AIM-9) loadout on the dev server and depending on how well it performs reduce it to 6/2 (AMRAAM/AIM-9) right before release.
After which they stamp every source mentioning the 6/6 loadout as a secondary source/indirect so that they can ignore it.
I’m not saying it shouldn’t get it. I’m just saying what could very well happen. The gripen was also nerfed twice pretty hard because it was that good.
Now if the typhoon is as good as people say, why wouldn’t it perform well and get nerfed shortly after release like the gripen lol?
The gripen has most of its flight performance classified. Gaijin rushed to get the vehicle out without checking which is the usual for swedish aircraft the entire Air TT is a joke of inaccuracies for the most part. Regardless stuff like that is gonna happen because we are moving towards vehicles with stuff thats still classified and this game isnt 1 to 1 of real life.
Captor-C has only been used on Tranche 1 aircraft afaik, so yea. Captor-M from 2nd Tranche onward till T3A (Captor-E Mk.0) and T4 (Captor-E Mk.1/2).
edit: Captor-C = Captor-M, it’s just two different standards, for T1 it was Captor-C and for T2 it was Captor-D, but both can be grouped up under the term “Captor-M” (Captor-Mechanical).
