I read in a book on the Eurofighter that the german versions don’t have the towed decoy of the DASS equipped. Can anyone confirm this please? Couldn’t find anything on the Internet.

The idea is blocking the seeker with the flares in such a way that, when the missile emerges again, the plane is no longer in its FoV

This addition could come as soon as next patch while f/a 18c might come in 2 or later if gajin wants to add the A variant for US first
At this point they can jump straight to C model to give some tech trees a bit more options. They can always introduce A model later. Or maybe both at the sime time who knows?
they never did that, with all variants they always added the first ones first
They did add the Gripen C to Britain and Gripen A to Sweden at the same time. Tho they changed the A to be pretty much identical to the C
