If you’re stuck with the F-35 then you just have to accept you have the worst 5th gen for War Thunder tbh.

I think the F-35 gets overhyped.
The way Americans talk about it, you’d think it could end world hunger, find the cure to cancer and write poetry.
But in reality, its only exceptional at SEAD and just has bells and whistles that give it an edge in A2A but those arent necessarily unique. Its a bit, Meh, at everything else
The only thing that would really intrigue me when they get added is the look through cockpit stuff in SB, everything else. Im kinda not that fussed about.
Don’t know how you expect to conduct SEAD with no standoff munitions whatsoever.
Spear-3 and Spear-EW if/when they are added.
Its the only role that I think the F-35 does actually beat out something like the EFT and purely because its stealth.
But in every other role, something else is just better

Yeah… Hopefully, if its a capability actually needed before then. They’ll just do what they did to fit Aim-9Ls onto the SHars and make it happen, Americans be damned or it will force the Americans to actually do the intergration instead of postponing it constantly for made up nonsense reasons

I bet on Gen 5 IRs. That’s is the only thing that can expalin why the Tornado SLE is sitting at 12.3 with 2 missiles. If not that Gaijin lack of reality in their own game, but right, they know they game right?
Tornado Gr4 has been at 12.3 with 2x IR missile for an entire year.
I wouldnt read into it like that and I really dont want Tornado GR4 with ASRAAM or Tornado SLE with IRIS-T at 13.7 ish for the sake of it. Uptiering ground attackers to give them better A2A has never worked out well for the ground attackers.
ECM would be a far far better buff for them.
I think the better hint might be the F-16I which seems wierdly underpowered for 14.0 but would be a good fit for P4s or P5s

Would be a good fit alongside a Typhoon with similar AESA (Gimballed) and the much needed stopgap between aircraft with Gen 5s and those without
I’ve been saying this for ages, and they could always use the prototype PS-05/A AESA as a bit of an upgrade too

We did trial & order Super Hornets (dear god please don’t that thing will suck so much) and the cancelled the contract, so that would be an option in Gaijins mind now that we’re adding more trialed equipment again

Amazing sensor suite, meh armament and flight performance. It’s not just the British stuff that’s taking forever, the block 4 just keeps getting delayed.
They shouldve kept the AV-8 and F-16/18C replacement programs seperate. Or had AV-8/F-18C program and F-16 replacement, just not all 3 together.

It’s cheap, it’s stealthy, allegedly exceptions ew suite a great radar, small magazine depth but it can do everything. It’s not overhyped it’s unmatched value for the money and it’s extremely capable albeit with limitations.
And it’s going to get much better, America is working towards de-lockmart the plane, once that is done weapon integration will become much easier for everything allegedly
And that’s the whole coneptual problem of the F-35. It was build to do everything, so in consequence it can’t to anything of that good let alone perfect → Jack of all trades, master of none.
