Eurofighter Typhoon (Germany) Dev Thread

well they changed the FM already, thrust is still too little, but they acknowledged it already in a bug report mentioned above. Ingame Engine stats havent changed, they increased drag i´d have to guess by a lot. We have three stats available:

  1. breaks off to M 1.0 in 30 seconds - was 26/27s in game now is 41s!!!
  2. breaks off to 35k feet to M 1.5 in less than 150s - was 75s in game now is 132s - which is fine imo
  3. top speed M 2.35 - took ages to get to M 2.0, doesnt wing rip there anymore, just a feeling I dont have proof of anykind, should be able to reach M 2.0 quicker than that considering those insane 90kn engines

disclaimer, speed test were concluded in Test Drive, Spaded, full air to air loadout, full fuel, limited fuel
hope they manage to tweak that fm

Yes, this is because Gaijin does whatever tf they want.
You give evidence? “It’s a marketing lie”
There is a clear problem solved by common sense? “Not a bug, give evidence”

I mean why tf does the ammo belt on Tornado, Eurofighter and Alpha Jet contain Practice Tracer shells? The Gripen has a completely different belt but uses the same gun and I’m sure Luftwaffe, RAF and AM don’t just throw practice shells at the enemies…
The PT shell doesn’t even kill the crew if it hits them directly, they just gets a headache.

We give producer data: Need more evidence

I found a picture on the official website of the german airforce showing a Eurofighter with the IRST equipped if I’m not mistaken.
Not sure how widley its fielded tho in practice.
Making it a tier 4 modification seems reasonable, but not necessary.

AS said above in the thread, the issue is the specific variant coming in the update for Germany DID NOT use it.

There are like 3 German Eurofighters that had it installed, but they are NOT the ones coming in the update.

Alright, thank you very much for the reply!

Not to my knowledge, the only reason why i know the engine got changed from F100… to EJ200 is because i saw a datamine for the server hotfix.

The reduction in straight line acceleration makes no sense even if the flight model got changed.

Ah a privately owned Developmental prototype

as Noticeable from the White/Blue checker coat of arms as is typical For Airbus’s aircraft tested on Manching airfield and the 98+ XX Designation type

Is the Manching airfield similar to like the WTD61 place? I am unfamiliar with how Germany does their stuff

Aaaactually, it’s not a reliable source because it can be biased
The only reliable source - plane field tests and actual documentation, or in other words sikret documents

Manching Airfield is the test airfield in Germany

WTD-61 is stationed there, yes, but all Armed private aircrafr projects are tested there as it’s the only place allowed for it in germany

the coat of arms on it’s rudder is the code for Airbus Defence and space

the Aircraft number is also a Key identification

the Luftwaffe Designates their aircraft as XX + YY = Squadron Number Cross Aircrafr Number
Example: 31+07 Squadron 31 Boelcke Aircraft N⁰7

More unnecessary details about the Aircraft numbers

to clarify, technically the Aircraft designation is XY + AB
X= Squadron Type
Y= Squadron Number in the type
A= Group in the squadron
B= Specific aircraft
then 31+07 becomes
Aircrafr 7 of Group 0 in the First Fighter-bomber squadron
with Eurofighters the system doesn’t add up anymore because it’s designated as a Fighter Bomber so you’ll see stuff like 30+15 being in JG73 and 30+17 being in JG74

“Squadron” 98 is Private venture aircraft registered by the Luftwaffe to not-break weapon laws

Actually the blue and white checkered coat of arms is rhe coat of arms of Bavaria, but the symbol to the bottom left of that is the marking of the WTD.

that is correct, The Bavarian company Airbus Defence and Space uses it because of that reason

i heard the ef2000 will lost Brimstone?? anyone
know it is true?

gaijin means that British typhoons will get brimstone no matter what, while German and Italian typhoons will have to wait for developers to evaluate them. All in all, the matter remains to be decided.

Maybe when the typhoon development blog is published, we will know whether there is one.

Idk how this is not a bug, and idk what are their sources about naming, but it’s clearly wrong, P3E have nothing to do with this bug report too, and if the matter is about the Brimstones then Eurofighter 31+11 (Tranche 2) that came before the Eurofighter 31+37 (Tranche 3A) is presented with Brimstone or the so called P3E upgrades

Not to mention the Eurofighter 98+07 or so called IPA7 a Tranche 2 is also came equipped with Brimstones.

It is a testbed plane.
