ENAER A-36 Toquí - Attack jet with air-to-air missiles and Sea Eagle Anti-Ship Missiles, built in Chile

The only air-to-air missiles that were actually used were the Shafrir II, the Matra Magic I believe were never used in Chile, only Israeli and American material was used. The photo that you see where there is matra magic must be of another plane that was presented at FIDA in those years, although it is curious that it is next to cluster bombs manufactured in Chile, I would like to know which plane was the one that was next to it of the A-36 Toquí, it could be a Chilean Mirage 50, but I repeat, I have not seen any photo of any Chilean fighter that uses Matra Magic

based on the shadow i see in the bottom right of the image it seems the magic missile belongs to a mirage 2000 that maybe was parked on the side of the a36, also i remember seeing somewhere that the a36 could use either a single 30mm defa or 2 12.7mm M3 machine guns

Although the pod was received with the 12.7 mm machine guns, it was not used in service as explained here, the one that was used but rarely was the 7.62 mm although probably for training due to the low caliber, also do not add that pod because I considered it too weak compared to the 30mm, I don’t think anyone would prefer the 7.62mm pod in the game

A small but mighty aircraft, and the Shafrir 2 is quite the interesting addition! +1

I just realized that it also has the Chilean RWR Caiquén II that also had the Chilean Hawker Hunter installed, I was looking at images of the cockpit and you can see the RWR, it is also logical since it has an antenna on the top of the tail, so it is an extra addition to the plane. The Spanish/Chilean version of the Alpha Jet hahaha

Kind of, but quite a bit slower, less ammo, and without CMs. Would likely sit lower in BR even with the addition of AAMs, as compared to soemthing like the Sa’ar, it’s just a wee bit worse. Great 8.7ish aircraft if you ask me.

But the French Alpha Jet E has no air-to-air missiles, no countermeasures, no telemetric radar or RWR and is 8.7, whereas the Chilean A-36 Toquí has all (except for countermeasures) that only sacrificing some top speed, I think it could even be 9.0

Ah right, forgot about the fr*nch one lol

Did the Toqui have an RWR? Was it the Caiquén-II? Because of the strange Aneta on the tip of the vertical stabilizer?

It is possible, although I cannot confirm it 100% yet; I have not been able to find any documents on the subject.

At the end the photo does show the A-36 Halcon with the double 12.7 mm machine gun pod, since in the same publication they mention that the pod was seen on aircraft number 413, the description of the image has that error since they wrote 7.62 mm instead of 12.7 mm, so i added that pod to the list of available armament.

I also found this photo of some A-36 armament, in the front you can see napalm tanks manufactured in Chile by ALAMANT (the white ones with light blue stripes), by their size they must be the 100 gallon ones (378 kg) so I also added them to the suggestion.

+1 would be great to see

Would essentially be a better Alpha Jet TH found in the Japanese TT at 10.7, could maybe even work at 11.0 especially with its diverse weapon loadout

11.0? With shafrir 2s and no flares? At 11.0?

Uhhh absolutely not? It only has two missiles, which not only are far worse than Aim-9Ps, but the Alpha Jet TH has Aim-9P-4s man, those have Aim-9L seekers. Not to mention it doesn’t seem to have countermeasures. It wouldn’t even sit above 9.3, and would likely be a 9.0 aircraft depending on the state of compression when/if it gets added.

With the arrival of the British Hawk 200 and the Sea Eagle missile, I believe it’s now confirmed that the Chilean A-36 Toqui could also fire it, since the Hawk 200 in the game doesn’t have a specialized radar to guide the missile, yet it’s still capable of firing it. Currently, on the Dev Server, the missile can even be fired at ground targets, although I think we’ll have to wait and see if it retains this capability when the update is actually released.

I believe the most powerful version was Chile’s A-36 Toqui, or Halcón II, as it was the most modernized and carried the most armament. The C-101EB you mention is the most basic version used in Spain, if I’m not mistaken, used only for training and with a weaker engine. In fact, I think the C-101, as it was called there, saw almost no armament in Spanish service. CASA, the company that designed the aircraft, created an advanced attack variant called the C-101DD, but it didn’t receive any orders.
