Yes. To any & all tech trees that can receive one.
There’s even one in real life US service.
My suggestion would be give it all it’s missile load-outs, including AIM-9s, Mavericks ect., put it in the helicopter tree and give it a matching br. Similar aircraft like the Pucará could be added as well. Then it’s purely CAS, so you don’t have to worry about ARB.
+1 for US tech tree and future South American tree (of course)
But it would always be automatically uptiered against Sea Harriers!
For the moment it can only be added in the American TT, then we need to see in which country the Brazilian sub-tree will be added.
Brazil would be better off in a South American tree than a subtree for any country currently in-game
I would also like a South American TT, unfortunately it is not in line with Gaijin’s thinking.
FLIR Star SAFIRE III provides extremely reliable high performance. Along with superior image stabilization and long-range imaging, Star SAFIRE III features internal navigation for precise targeting, MWIR thermal imager, optional EO color and low-light cameras, and multiple laser payload options. The system is fully hardened for military fixed-wing and helicopter operations, and it operates continuously in all conditions – even while sitting on the tarmac with no airflow.
- OPTIMIZED USABILITY View and track ground locations using the fully-embedded IMU. Follow moving targets with the multi-mode Autotracker.
- MULTI-MISSION CAPABLE Use in applications as diverse as land force protection, shipboard open ocean and littoral patrol, and long-range airborne reconnaissance.
- IMAGE BLENDING Combine critical spectral information from the IR imager with the image-intensified low-light camera or long-range spotter scope.

Laser Guided
Laser guided Hellfire variants (AGM-114K,M,N) are capable of firing in following modes:
- Lock After Launch - Low Mode (LOAL-LO) - Missile fly in target direction & attempt to reach altitude of 300 meters before trying to lock on laser target.
- Lock After Launch - High Mode (LOAL-HI) - Missile fly in target direction & attempt to reach altitude of 1200 meters before trying to lock on laser target.
Missile lock cone is 40 degrees. Minimal distance to target is 1km. Below, or close to that range, lock on laser target is highly unlike.

Spoiler
i’m unsure.
if they decide to add it without the air to air missiles it would be like 6.0-6.7 plane, if that were the case then sure, add it, it would be fun (maybe higher br in ground bc of that)
if they decided to add it with the missiles (up to the python 3) then no, it would be like 10.7-11.0 while being slower than an a10 and would be a pain machine
if they decide to add it with the python 4 then that would be an ultra no, iirc the python 4 can pull likr 70Gs and has a flare resistance of a stinger (iirc), this missile single hand would move the plane to 14.0 at least while being the slowest plane of the BR by far, it would not be fun and it would be very painful to play
Tinha q ter a skin da Esquadrilha da Fumaça (EDA) tbm né (tem q ser o Num. 7 hehe)
However Gaijin implements Brazil, in the interim USA should get an A-29B since the USAF operates it (albeit in very small numbers).
In the future, Brazilian Super Tucanos (both single- and dual-seat) could be added that would have differences in armament, since Brazil uses some weapons that the USA does not.
What about the trees that have the same vehicles of others? As I have seen, the Chinese TT is a big mix of stuff already present in-game. To fix this you just gotta add a LATAM Tech Tree (Brazil, Peru, Argentina, etc. All together). With that they could also move the Brazilian AMX A-1A to the LATAM TT or the Brazilian “Sub-tree” inside it. Also, if the A-29 gets a Smoke Squadron skin/camo, it MUST only be available for the Brazilian version. There are Patriots in Brazil too. We can’t only have USA-centric stuff every time.
Would love to see this with its missiles in both USA and LATAM tree!
Made my mind, add it at 10.7 air rb and artificially nerf it to make it able to only carry the non irccm piranhas / aim9L, without the python 3s or 4, as its a turboprop basicaly every missile would be a 1 flare so 10.7 would be ok
This would most likely get the same treatment as the A-10 or Su-25, since they have the option for All-aspect AAMs and guided ground ordnance, it would be forced together with these other 10.3 vehicles. Some guy i discussed the Super Tucano with made the comparison that this plane would function a bit like a helicopter does because of the slow top speed while keeping the predictable flight pattern of a plane.
I read about this plane some months ago since i thought it was interesting how we still have some military applications for small propeller planes. I see a lot of people barganing “if it doesn’t get AAMs or guided bombs etc.”, but that would completely defeat the point of having a plane like this. At that point you might as well just add the Tucano instead (the prior version of which the Super Tucano is based on, never had any guided ordnance).
I don’t think this plane is fit for the USA tech tree since USA never used it in the first place. According to Wikipedia, the plane was only trialed, but never bought. To double down on this, USA already has a couple domestic COIN aircraft similar to the Super Tucano that could be added instead. Currently, the only Brazilian plane is in the Italian tech tree, and the Tucano has pretty much zero affiliation with Italy whatsoever. The best case cenario would be a Latin American tech tree since they have a lot of interesting vehicles on offer, but Gaijin has said they won’t add any more tech trees. It’s a bit of a tough call, but since i do main Italy, i wouldn’t mind it going in the italian Tech tree after all.
