That would open up SO MANY COOL new doors.

Or this beast. (I think 15 cm or 10,5 cm)
Or this 12,8 cm Flak 40 L/61, like the Sturer, but no armor, less depression, 360 traverse, higher fire rate and no armor at all.
Looking like a Madmax Truck (with 105mm Flak.)
12,8 cm Pak 44 L/55, like Jagdtiger, but no armor, except gunshield.
Would it be worse than a vehicle mounted gun? Yes.
Would it still be an interesting take, as such was used IRL and would offer more possibilitys in game? YES.
Could it also be used as a cheap way to fill some gaps of TD and AA? Yes.

As you stated with your first point i feel you kinda skipped over it when you listed the 2nd point. As it stands now the general consensus for this thing is split 50/50 of DOA or OP. I dont think its safe to say your 2nd point stands any ground other than speculation. We’ve seen gaijin handicap vehicles before regardless of historical accuracy and vice versa. The EldE is an unknown, from their own wording gaijin thinks its a good addition. (Imo they are adding it over actual options that fit other nations as a test for more short range late generation missile carriers.) It could have no downsides and be amazing at killing single celled organisms that fly straight into the battle field or it will be type 81 but with a radar. For all the people who scream type 81 is scary they also claim its a instakill missile while anything within 3km it struggles to hit. The EldE could turn on in a similar manner. Im of the opinion the vehicle is on par with the type 81 in missile performance until we see how it actually performs on the live server.
This is just hilarious.
Type 81 is honestly a mystery as to how people cry about it being good. The amount of players ive seen scream its OP without ever touching it will never not make me laugh

This goes for every vehicle in the game to be honest… A large majority of “vehicle OP” complaints i see are from players facing things they think are to OP but they have never actually played the vehicles themselves.

Technically yes, however all were designed to be fired directly as is in emergency situations. I suppose that would include warthunder.
They would have increased recoil to the sides, but thats especially in warthunder pretty much irrelevant.
also this compared to the BvS 10 is quite different ofcourse, 1 is a trailer the other one has 2 powered parts
For the traverse you mean? Or do you mean the german guns? The powered things on the bigger Flaks are for the Feuerleitgerät, which isnt in game and is useless in the ground role, as its for combined AA fire.

Hopefully they’ll add that LOAL function to older vehicles as well, like the Lav and Ozelot.

It’ll be pretty interesting to see how LOAL SAMs will work. Just hope they keep giving us more AAs in the coming months.

once more as it was topic in this blog already, LOAL can also mean a missle is feeded target data before launch and just activates the seeker after launch, it does not nessesary mean that you can influence target selection after launch
Even this would be helpful, especially against helicopters. It might also imply those IR missiles will have seekers that can’t be flared, so planes will have to use the terrain or defeat the missile before the IR seeker activates.

I think it will be very effective at taking down incoming munitions and saving the bigger systems so that they can focus on the far away CAS.
Thats if it can destroy incoming munitions additionally 4 missiles before reload is DOA lol, good hope but its not enough to stop me from using a Ka-50 or 52 against you lol or my Su-34 with KH-38
