no other nation has something similar, aside Norway, which doesnt help anyone else other than sweden

Its primarily Germany’s missile. Gajin should better find a way.
they dont use it and germany has like 45% steak in it, not that much

SLS can be also fired from SLM systems. Ukr requested this feature to be able to fight air threats more economically. SLS for short range low grade targets and SLM against higher quality air assets. Initially SLM launchers could only fire SLM missiles, which proved to be super meh in this ongoing conflict. They had to use SLM to shot down cheap drones etc. Over the last months this was changed and now SLS and SLM are integrated.

gnerally SLM’s dont have that and are also very large usually but thats not as big of an issue
So Sweden is getting a weird looking Type 81 at top tier? Actually, scratch that, it’s literally just the Antelope. Wowie, 12km (which if we go based on the Type 81, is more like 6km lock) range, with FOUR missiles. Now how is that going to help is against F-15Es, Su-30s, Su-34s, Rafale, or F-15Is? Literally the only thing it could take out are the people running around with premium A-10s. Oh, and let’s not forget how easily flared the Elde is going to be.

eh we have some sources and text that hint at 25km lock range, so the full 12 km lock should definetly be possible
also it gets a search radar so that helps compared to the type 81
and the IRIS-T should be almost impossible to flare in any scenario
but yeah no the Kh-38s are still outranging you by a long bit

The official Bundeswehr homepage mentions this. I don’t know how its working (IRST?), but it simply says thats the starter vehicle is able to use the missile as standalone.
The sources HINT at being 25km, just like how Gaijin HINT that the Finnish Hornet would get GBUs soon.

The IRIS-T SHOULD be, that doesn’t mean it will be. I give it three days in the Dev servers and the American mains will cry it’s too OP and they’ll have the missile being as flare hungry as a AIM 9B or a R-60M.
My issue isn’t just the Kh-38s, but also the AGM 65s and Hammers.

The Finnish f18 didn’t have any ground ordinance in the pre mlu phase so idk where you would have that from

Oh, they promised that we would get the proper Finnish Hornet with CAS capabilities. Because you know, America should get three with CAS capabilities, while Sweden doesn’t get one because “muh histowical awcuwacy” (because America clearly used the A, C Early, and C Late at the same time).
But I digress. We were promised something and it never showed up. Just like every other time we were promised something “soon” and we never got it.
Since its a hot war, it difficult to obtain any infos how Diehl integrated both, SLS and SLM. I could just guess they did it via launch containers. So SLS ones can be mounted on this SLM truck. Maybe thats why some photos like this indicate different lenght of these containers. This could be a SLM / SLS mixed loadout. Btw its an active system with several kill marks for drones an cruise missiles.
Yeah the mlu 2 did have full CAS capabilities so I do think we will get that at some point, not sure if that will be this update or later this year though
I don’t think i’ve ever seen them promise that it would come at any specific point in time (if at all).
Still no radar on the vehicle, I think that’s the biggest issue
Yeah, we should have had the MLU 2, not the worst Hornet variant in game (at 14.0 no less). Just like this SPAA will be the worst top tier SPAA. At least the OTOMATIC is down to 11.0, the EldE is clearly 10.3-11.0 material, not 12.0, oh the Imp is like 10.3 (off the top of my head) not exactly top tier.
