I hope they dont model that rear wagon as a trailer. irl its a two parted band wagon and both parts have their own engines. If the rear one is modeled as a trailer then the mobility is gonna be awful.

That is a Crotale NG console, not a IRIS-T truck.
Then the channel lied about it. I removed it.
So realistically, we are in no better of a situation than we are now. The Kh-38MT and the Pantsir still out-range everything; including this. So what’s the point? If they don’t give it a better IRIS-T missile, there is genuinely no point in adding this.

A lot of CAS flies in way closer than maximum standoff range, that’s why the Type 81 is statistically performing so well. Systems like this are incredibly deadly to anyone that just wants to take their chances to dump their air to ground payload in one quick pass. So they should help push CAS back some.

as an active ito player ia can say that the range of the ito is 11km

So it still won’t be able to actually counter the long range weapons at only 12km, and I doubt it will even reach that number.

So does the Type 81. Still one of the best performing top tier SPAA according to stats. And this will have more range.

Type 81 performs well because it doesn’t have a radar and is blind as a bat, which also means it doesn’t get detected by planes so it survives more.
Plus unlike the Pantsir it has zero means to defend itself, which means the Pantsir can go on the offensive with it’s 30mm and get killed whilst the Type 81 just sits around the entire match hoping for a target.

Whats the point to introduce a new system with actually less range than what we have ingame? Gajin should better make it right, the game won’t carry over another patch cycle with unchecked KH-38MT jets.
I think that image is of Radar detection range and not missile flight range.

That does not really matter. A new “top tier” SPAA is being added and it is less capable than existing systems and effectively does nothing to counter Kh-38MTs or compete with the Pantsir. It could, if it gets better missiles. But not as is.
the difference is that ito needs to keep the launcher pointing towards the target the whole time and the missle is not realy agile beyond 8km
IRIS-T is a fire and forget missle and it is told to be faster and more agile
