It definitely could be used for that
it has a giant heat shell in the nose that thing will do much more than just scratch the paint
This is weird, very very weird.
The majority of those never got built
But IIRC the drag & weight penalty of ordnance is not dynamically modelled (you don’t get better climb/turn rate after dropping bombs, the penalty stays with you). So after dropping, you will not fly like a normal 190, I would think, you’ll fly as if the thing was still attached to you. RTBing is gonna be… interesting
Long long time ago it was possible…
gaijin never said no
Doesn’t matter, they increased damage model for balance but also tried to make it realistic. They won’t randomly buff the pilot plane’s durability based on feelings, only the bomb will probably have bomber DM
Something is missing
you do actually?
Oh wow, another unusual early guided munition for the axis (germany and japan), and still no unusual early guided munitions for allies (ussr, us, britain), how boring… Don’t get me wrong, this plane looks cool, but not only germans or japanese had these weird aircraft projects…
There was a TB-3 equipped with 6000kg tnt equivalent charge inside that was radio-controlled and once was used in WW2, but had his antenna destroyed by flak and fell in the middle of nowhere.
There were IR-guided beam-riding gliders strapped to TB-3 with a torpedo underneath that were meant to be used against ships.
There were many interesting guided bombs/missiles used by US/Britain as well, why Axis again?
ps would not surprise me if fighting ground vehicles is its main use besides using the bomb has low tier grom2 base bomber substitute
It isn’t guided
They do little damage, but not zero. I have definitely been killed in AAs and open top TDs by planes that were dead (and hadn’t dropped any ordnance) but who just crashed into me. Sometimes only a crew member or two die from it. Just very RNG, feels like.
i hope we get the other ones too some day that get sillier

I’m not familiar with the type so could be wrong but not according to stonas wording
Mistel A8s did retain a ETC 501 universal stores rack that meant they were technically capable of carrying bombs on the centreline. Wk Nr 733682 on display at the RAF Museum Cosford still has its rack fitted but it’s not complete (example of a complete faired one).
But operationally the rack in the Mistel role was for carrying a drop tank to extend the FW-190’s range as was usually the case with A8s over F8s. Indicated by the spacer bar unit installed on ETC 501.
It’s pretty much like the explosions of ground vehicles.
Depending on your armour and the other tanks ammo you can get killed by standing next to a tank when it gets destroyed
Well ill try to get the plane just because is cooler than the pancake I still preffered a tank but well
The only one that could be added is the Bf 109 + Ju 88 one, the rest weren’t built
