Even though it’s a German weapons event, the reward profile icon isn’t a German pilot. They’re being so thorough it’s hilarious.
Couldn’t they at least prepare a new Germany icon for occasions like this?
35.000 points per stage is too much of a grind. Simply too much.
What will be the ingame blast radius? Is it actually worth more than one of the big bombs?
This is also a shaped charge rather than HE, it’s basically a pile bunker, so I don’t expect it to have great AoE like a big HE bomb. Should also be easier to spot and avoid compared to an incoming bomb.
On the other hand if it really is at 4.0, a shaped charge of that size can do a lot of damage and Germany doesn’t get much donkey CAS at that BR anyway. Could be a good way to ensure that one very annoying KV-1 ZiS 5 on the enemy team gets bonked to the shadow realm lol.
If you can somehow kill TIS MAs with it, it’ll be literally priceless.
Way I see it, all depends on one factor: if the Ju 88 is modelled as a bomber or as a munition after you release it. If a few stray shots of MG to the warhead make it explode in flight after release, it’ll be DoA. If it tanks shots with the bomber DM though… Kawabunga it is

According to datamines, it does have normal HE bomb AoE and CCIP on top of that.
If it keeps the ccip it could be a great compensation for the fact that the bomb is laughably easy to intercept

Yes, that way at least you don’t have to get super close for accuracy, so even if it’s shot down you survive and can RTB to try again. But that’s also why I was mentioning the question of bomber DM or not, if intercepted by AA fire can it tank hits or not? That’ll make a huge difference

I also guess it won’t have any notable HE blast kill radius. One of the big bombs (which also can be dropped by lower BRed planed) might be alot stronger. However, if there’s really CCIP, it might be somewhat funny to use. But its just one drop, so more a fun or meme thing than actually effective.
Its most likely similar to the last German event bomber with these Henschel saclos guided bombs. On paper it looks so cool, but ingame I actually never managed to hit a player target with it. You’re better off with simply dropping 1800kg bombs. Similar Fritz X. Somehow these systems are not really useful in WT. Free fall bombs with lotsa HE is all you need to be happy.
The thing is that some people already managed to test drive the thing and it does have the same blast radius as FAB 3000, which has comparable explosive filler.
But with how many downsides this thing already has i don’t think that letting it have the blast radius and CCIP is too much
There isn’t a profile icon for this event. Only a frame
- For 1 stage: one of the decal rewards
- For 2 stages: a trophy with a random reward
- For 3 stages: one of the decal rewards
- For 4 stages: a trophy with a random reward
- For 5 stages: “Mistletoe” profile frame
- For 6 stages: the Mistel 2 premium aircraft
- For 7 stages: a special camouflage for the Mistel 2
I can’t find reliable information the ju-88 has gyros to correct his path to the target.
Apparently the drone was directed to the target, trimed and released from 1 to1.5km distance.
So 0 accuracy, mega close to the enemy = total useless.
The Radius of guaranteed destruction is 35m.

That’s literally the smallest amount possible. You can easily grind it in an hour, which is just 30 minutes a day.
