Dreams Come True: Mistel 2

How is having control over the vehicle required for it to be a plane?

i think DCT vehicles are more so picked because they are niche and somewhat asked for

Your stats showed that your average defintely isn’t 4-5 kills per game lol

It is controlled, the control surfaces move with the 190s because they are wired together, it is literally another plane strapped to the bottom of the 190 that shares controls with it,

also the pilot has control over the manuevering surfaces till launch, it is for all intents and purposes part of the 190 till it gets launched,

they showed a 1.3-1.5 kill per game average

Fun fact. The controls on a plane also link up to munitions.

Ins’t a Sturmbock the opposite of what this FW 190 would be ?
Afaik Sturmbock were completely different aircraft with heavy armaments and extra armor.
Meanwhile this FW 190 does not even get any auto-canons at all.

What does that have to do with the Ju 88 still being controlled up until it is seperated from the Fw 190?

The Ju 88 is a plane, even without a cockpit.

not in the way the controls here link up, the control surfaces of the munitions are still independent, the mistel shares flight control with the 190, the control linkages of munitions are for launch/post launch guidance, not STEERING THE FUCKING AIRCRAFT like the mistels,
the Ju-88 is a plane, they took out the cockpit and added an autopilot, its still a plane, then they mounted an Fw-190, a different plane, to the Ju-88 and connected the flight surfaces of the 190 and the 88 together, for all intents and purposes its 2 planes attached together, the 88 is both a munition and a plane, and the pilot retains control over the control surfaces for purposes of controlling the 2 planes combined
edit: like seriously man, think about it for more than half a second

what are those?

radar guided? MCLOS? TV? Pigeon?

being scared of your armament is an outdated concept.

They need to be scared of you !

i still think the allies should get their missiles first but that sounds pretty cool, everyone knows about the bat(rdr guided glide bomb) but theres also the tiamat(a2a missile) azon(radio controlled bomb) JB-4 for TV guidance and the gargoyle for a proper AShM

Thats not correct. Until the moment of launch, both aircraft are connected, with the flight and damage model of both being intertwined.

Nothing like this exists in game and a significant amount of development went into it from a technical perspective.

Mothership aircraft as a whole are significantly more unique than conventional means. Nobody claimed Germany was the only nation to do it.

However from a gameplay point of view and in the context of all other aircraft we have in game, it is highly unqiue.

and the mistel 2 is a unique variation of the mothership concept, on a typical mothership, even with the plane to bomb conversions, the mothership is the larger of the 2 aircraft and provides the range and power, in most cases the parasites engine is off until its close to launch, in this scenario the parasite airframe(the Ju-88) is the larger of the 2 aircraft, and provides most of the power, range and control authority,

its the exact opposite of what we already have in game,
