The MFDs were a later addition by Thailand in 2021, so WTD61 would have nothing to do with them.

Yeah sadly i think the AJ WTD61 just used direct target designation for the SMAT AGM

It can also carry Chaff-Flare dispenser pod as well

Given recent devblogs what is the consensus on the 27mm mauser version of Alpha Jet for Thailand?
From what i can read here and other sources 27mm guns were never bought. And there were later trials for the F-5 guns to be used. If thats the case that would make the standard version without missiles a questionable addition.

Do you still have the sources to report this? Both variants of the Thai Alpha jet on Dev still have the Larzac 04-C6 fitted.

I think keeping 27mm on both is fine solution makes the Aim9P4 one easier to balance and makes A version viable. They should get the better engine though, so far it has the old engine on dev.

I think we should try to push for the Alpha Jet TH to be changed to the Phase 2- currently it sports a 1.6 BR increase (5 whole steps) with only the lowest performance IR AAMs to show for it. Move it any lower and it might clap flareless jets. But at the same time, its barely below the like of the AMX Ghibli or Super Etendard which feature notably superior guided ordinance, more countermeasures, and similar class AAMs.
If gaijin changed the Alpha Jet TH to the Phase 2, we could at least get a nicer cockpit & perhaps a pair of mavericks to show for the higher BR.

If anyone has information regarding the SNECMA Turbomeca Larzac 04-C20 or C-6 (MOD. 70) / ( MOD. 80), I would be really grateful to have more on these. We are currently collecting sources as it is possible that Thailand’s Alpha Jets also have more powerful engines (C20).

Do you have any info on the m39 gun pod trialed on thai alpha jets? I wonder if they can swap out of bk27 for the pontiac m39 sometime…
Not at the moment, we focus on getting the Engines fixed, as well as F-5T. I am not even sure if there is anything available online regarding the Pod; found it only mentioned in an article iirc.

Ngl we don’t need another subsonic attacker with IRCCM in the game, especially with it having substantially less CMs then the other ones it wouldn’t particularly be enjoyable. I’d much rather get any of the other RTAF variants we’re still waiting on.

While I’d say +1, I shall agree with the point that such subsonic attacker is not going to be well balanced with its IR missiles (AIM-9M). It will be atrocious to use it in Air battles as it would be at very least 11.7. It is already horrible to play Alpha Jet TH Phase 1 with its AIM-9P-4s as, for some reason, Gaijin thinks those half-L half-P Sidewinders are enough to justify its BR, constantly fighting objectively better aircrafts even at the same BR (hello late MiG-21s and F-5s) and the neverlasting horde of premuim MiG-23MLs w/ their SARH missiles.
So yeah, I don’t want this thing facing early F-16s and F/A-18s. Maybe once Thais manage to fit some sort of guided A2G ordnance (like AGM-65s or 500lb GBUs) it is reasonable to have it in the game, because right now it is straight up another overtiered Alpha Jet for Air battles and a copypaste of already existing ones for Ground battles.
I think there was some limited mention of AGM-65D, but no photos or anything more specific that I’d know of. If there’s some more substantial evidence for those then that could make it a good choice for another addition
