I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s an incredible map at those BRs, but it can definitely a fun map to play sometimes.

my design idea:
-Apply the capture zone in even number. like 2 or 4 cap zones. if not, it only prioritize light tanks.
-Capture zones must placed on iconic landmarks like Gas Station or Church instead of just empty land so it will motivate players to capture it.
-IMPORTANT: Remove enemy spawn marker. as long as it appear on the map, spawncamping problem will never get fixed.

The old one was fine, but the new one should be much better. The area that people will use has gotten larger, which is always welcome.

Caps are too close to each other. at least A and C. moved them further away a bit from the river and from each other

Yeah I do very much agree with that. Although I do think they could tune the location of the caps a little bit, make it so that they are slightly further apart.

If you move the blue spawn from D7 to D8 they are trapped in spawn bc red can snipe them when they cross the road between bridge and windmill. We already have a version of this map with spawn behind the road and it is really awful.

Please do not move the caps further apart, they work perfectly for their intended purpose right where they are.

We already have larger layouts if people want larger layouts, no need to remove the smaller options.

Only the ones on the bridges are indestructable, the ones on the side of the river are destructable

I disagree really, I’d recommend making it so 3.7 and below get the destroyed variant

A, B & C are FAR too close together.

So here we are. After a year of relentless and unrequested map changes that, at best, can only be described as highly contentious, resulting in constant negative feedback yet there has been ZERO consultation with customers. The resulting frustration has led to the point of people calling for another review bombing campaign (the sub-Reddit is seething), but the best they can do is ask for feedback for one variant of one map…

I can think of only 2 possible scenarios:

  1. Community managers have neglected to raise the growing discontent with the development team.
  2. The development team disregards the customers on the subject of map design.

Don’t feign surprise when this boils over.

Nearly every map has been shrunk or bathed in red. Getting a medium or large map is a once a month experience.

@magazine2 I would like to share my feedback on the changes to maps and new maps being introduced for some time now. I believe I am not the only one to think this way. Gaijin has repeatedly removed long range positions from maps making them smaller and reducing engagement distances. Furthermore some “open” maps have had modifications to remove long range line of sights effectively making so that they are no longer open. New map additions have also been in line with this thinking.

Its enjoyable to get diversity in gameplay which at the moment is mostly provided by map diversity as there is almost no gamemode diversity for ground battles. Close range brawling is also fun in some situations but it feels thats the only priority for maps as of late. Long range engagements should also be an important aspect of ground battles, specially as you go higher on the tiers (more capable weapons systems, rangefinders, etc…)

Honestly for some time now since this priorities have been taken in the modification of existing maps and new ones I feel like playing call of duty with tanks and have lost a lot of interest in ground RB. I find myself prioritizing getting into aircraft as soon as possible in a ground match or playing sim (since there are usually more open maps and the playstyle is much more tactical and paused instead of the close quarters COD style brawling of RB).

I really hope devs can get to inquire the payers opinions on this and change their approach to map design.

I get medium and large maps constantly.
Also there are 41 maps available to 8.0+ vehicles. <5 of them were shrunk.

Move the points further from each other. Replace the other map you plan with this one. All problems resolved.

A has very close sight over B and vice versa, easy to camp points making them uncapturable.
If you’re so hellbent on reworking the one map most of us are ok with as is then just do this. It pushed for close quarters urban fights without neutering flanking abilities and at least tries to restrict spawn camping, I did this in ms. paint in two minutes after a couple beers so its not perfect
Do change that one bridge to have the tree though that looks pretty (have it undestroyed)

European Provence already exists if you want a larger layout, people…

Basically, but the Northern would need more improvements since the West side spawn team has more advantages when getting to the plains quicker and having a better panoramic view of the capture point.

this is terrible, this basically puts Alpha and Charlie in view of each other, How is this meant to be better?

I don’t mind the size of the layout

Just don’t think it’s appropriate to have three zones all within 120m and line of sight to each other
