Admittedly I am not very dedicated to the competitive aspect of the game, but I am pulled by its another aspect, the motivating feeling of the game.
Not the feeling when you destroy an enemy, not when you capture a base.
But the general combined audio and visual experience of the game.
I wish I could make gif/videos but I do not currently have access to a computer.
Here are some moments I find very satisfying
- SRC mode on radars
You know when the radar is filled with ground clutter, then the radar moves up to scan, where there is less clutter.
To me it’s like a car windshield wiper.
- Driving a tank at 50kph + and being on commander optic
I imagine I am a tankistov (sounds cool), vibrating in the crew compartment, holding onto a handle bar (TKN-3)
- Speeding in a Mig-23
You know when you’re speeding in the mig 23, talking about speed roughly 1450kph, the cockpit begins to vibrate, and you can hear the vroom afterburner on?
- Firing battleship guns
Just so powerful. It’s one of my favorite sights. I actually feel the game is underwhelming when it comes to visual delivery of battleship gunfire. It would have been even more “moving” with camera shake, but of course I know this has gameplay impact.
My daily life is filled with imagery of the game/combat vehicles in general. If I am running home, the scene of a starfighter pops in my head, for example.
