Does anyone else daydream of the game?

Admittedly I am not very dedicated to the competitive aspect of the game, but I am pulled by its another aspect, the motivating feeling of the game.

Not the feeling when you destroy an enemy, not when you capture a base.

But the general combined audio and visual experience of the game.

I wish I could make gif/videos but I do not currently have access to a computer.

Here are some moments I find very satisfying

  1. SRC mode on radars

You know when the radar is filled with ground clutter, then the radar moves up to scan, where there is less clutter.

To me it’s like a car windshield wiper.

  1. Driving a tank at 50kph + and being on commander optic

I imagine I am a tankistov (sounds cool), vibrating in the crew compartment, holding onto a handle bar (TKN-3)

  1. Speeding in a Mig-23

You know when you’re speeding in the mig 23, talking about speed roughly 1450kph, the cockpit begins to vibrate, and you can hear the vroom afterburner on?

  1. Firing battleship guns

Just so powerful. It’s one of my favorite sights. I actually feel the game is underwhelming when it comes to visual delivery of battleship gunfire. It would have been even more “moving” with camera shake, but of course I know this has gameplay impact.

My daily life is filled with imagery of the game/combat vehicles in general. If I am running home, the scene of a starfighter pops in my head, for example.

Its spreading. There is no cure.

Occasionally I think of stuff I can do with my planes while trying to distract myself from my brain going to bad places. My brain likes to be in bad places, so I try to distract myself a lot.

Occasionally it’s me replaying my mess-ups and trying to think what I could’ve done better.

Other times it’s me wanting to try something more advanced I lack the skill to execute and thinking if I can make it happen in a live game (usually involving rudders and near-stall stuff).

I don’t blame the game XD.

When I step off the bus I think myself jumping off a helicopter. “LANDING ZONE COMING IN HOT MOVE MOVE MOVE”.

Ofc I know the brutalreality of war, and do not glorify it.
