Discounts in the Gaijin Store for War Thunder’s 13th Birthday!

All I really care about is if it reappears this year (hopefully it does as this is my first year to actually be able grind it)

It’ll be there. Stona all but confirmed it in a response the other day

Honestly this was a pretty weak sale. You should go back to doing a 50% off on all packs with the exception of the last couple releases.

Don’t stress about the Birthday stuff. It’ll be announced sometime in the next few days.

Sturmtiger event was on 31st October, for example:

So it’s been a year since all but a couple of us missed out on the IS-7 in that KV-7 event. Or, in other words, a year since Gaijin forced me to play arcade ground battles for an event.

I really hope this means japan is getting a new rank 6 or 7 premium, seeing as the current options are getting removed. Maybe an FS-T2 Kai?

Agreed. This is one of the few things that The Other Game genuinely just does better. Gaijin really does not seem to care about player retention, just about player attraction.

All bugs are free, the more veterancy - the more bugs being experienced

i just dont understand why gaijin even removes vehicles

Have you considered that it happens because everyone stops buying lower BR ones? The demand shifts elsewhere (to newest jets in this case), sales drop and items get discontinued from the store. That’s the only reason we’re doing this clearance from time to time, players vote with their wallets literally.

Because of a combination of no longer selling, and squeezing out some FOMO.

it’s all capitalism, my fellow player.

have you considered that’s because you propose high tier premium stuff that every other premium vehicules aren’t useful anymore?

i mean it - 1 highest tier vehicule per TechTree is going to make you, able to research for every Ranks of said TechTree,…

Why do you even bother adding more low tier premium stuff then? make them Regular instead - increasing research amounts.

OR MAYBE (Just maybe) - consider that actual playerbase is awfully bad at high tier, and give them a harder time to get high tier premium, to force them playing the game and learn how to fight,…

you’re able to create rules allowing the search of Helicopters or Israelian Tech Tree,… but nothing considering premium vehicules?

it could be added that for the first nation you grind, when new to the game:

1st rule - new to the game: only buyable premium vehicule allowed are Rank IV and lower
2nd rule - when unlocking Rank IV: you can buy Rank V Premium
3rd rule - when unlocking Rank V: you can buy Rank VI Premium
4th rule - when unlocking Rank VI: you can buy Rank VII Premium
5th rule - when unlocking Rank VII: you can buy Rank VIII Premium

those unlocks would be considered to every Air/Ground/Helo/Navy techtree from all nations

ensuring that:
1- low Premium vehicules will matter (at least from Rank IV ones)
2- people learn to play the game, instead of being completely freekills at Rank 8

Is there’s going to be a sale on playstation at all? I’d like to get at least one of the premiums before theyre removed but the pc store sale ends in 11 hours and there hasn’t been any sale on the ps store yet

When is Playstation getting the sales? This is the first time in a decade that we haven’t had a birthday sale.

While I agree somewhat with your sentiments, I do not think players should entertain the idea that they can tell a company how to run their business or sell their products.
It is not our place to set limitations on their ability to generate revenue.

We vote with our wallets, as he said . . this is the way of the world, however . . .

Businesses also need to be aware(and many of them are and do some things intentionally)
the way and the things that they are marketing also drive the consumers purchasing habits.
While I am sure that the top tier stuff has been selling more, why would anyone be surprised
with the literal non-stop push of almost exclusively high/top tier content, high tier &
easily acquired premiums coupled with a obsessive push that top tier is “meta” and silently making it the “carrot on the stick” and seemingly single objective of the game.

Of course you will sell more French Vanilla coffee creamer if 90% of what you stock on the shelf is . . . . French Vanilla.

Gaijin obviously promotes top/high tier by far the most, and it’s not hard to figure that this will indeed produce more sells of their products, i.e. . . increasing the bottom line.
It’s a business after all.

It would just be nice if more consideration was given to things below tier VI, for the newer players, long time players that enjoy those tiers more than the modern stuff and to pay “homage” to those of us that played(and still do play) the “lower tiers” as that is what enabled them to get to this point in the first place.

It would just seem more “respectful” of the entire player base, if we were treated the same,
regardless of player level, modes/tiers/BRs and vehicle types we like to play as opposed to the “favoritism” that is pretty plain to see in large parts of the game . . .

Just throw us a bone once in a while . . . . . .

It never was a “birthday sale”, but whatever discounts PlayStation is running around this time of the year that we can participate in. While I’m not allowed to disclose the exact date, I can say that you can expect something closer to Thanksgiving.

The Xbox ones are going now I haven’t seen a news article on this but with all do respect with not knowing the process of how the sales are coordinated. it’s really bad, like awful bad. 5 vehicles on sale that are always on sale for Xbox.
