Finally, was waiting for this to show up already several years ago when War Thunder was still fun with realistic matchups and focused more on & around WWII era.
Hopefully, the actual naval T-1 will appear at some point as a Tech Tree variant.

Whilst nice to see it i am wondering when you try to fulfill actual needs within the German TT:
A capable fighter at one of the most popular BRs in Air RB: 3.7 combined with being at Rank III to fulfill battle pass requirements and for daily tasks which requires a Rank III vehicle.
In order to close this gap at BR 3.7 you have 2 easy options:

Introduce a 109 F-2 with Galland modification (replacing 2 x 7,92 with 2 x 13 mm) - i saw a suggestion about this
or
-
Implement a 109 F-4/Z (more than 800 built) - a high altitude version with GM-1. The slight weight increase of the GM-1 tank reduces the performance at lower alt slightly - and the lack of additional weapon loadouts (no gondolas, no bombs) justifies a lower BR of 3.7
Why is a BR 3.7 Rank III single engine fighter important?
Germany is the only WW 2 nation without a single engine fighter at this BR. The event Bv 155 is pretty rare and slow as hell. As soon as you play a 2.7 aircraft for Germany you face more or lest constant full uptier loops and have to fight hordes of P-51 B/Cs (where is the German version?), Ki-44 IIs, Ki-100 IIs, Yak-9 Ms, A6Ms, La-5 FNs - all capable to kill the few 109 F-2s in your team.
And the 4 x BR 3.7 slots are either occupied by base bombing Bf 110 Gs or the few guys in the BR 3.7 Me 410.

I mean, it could be just a low-tier filler for air event, just like in old events, not some useless tier 2 premium that nobody in their right mind will buy

Devs could introduce a new Squadron Pack that would feature several vehicles in single Squadron Research Tree entity (around 300K squad RP for 2 vehicles). It would be a win-win - Germans would GE this pricey pack, while others could have it for free in 2 months.

but but it has better low speed performance so clearly it should be a premium because the low tier grind isn’t quick enough

Its based on the ammo manual i requested at the BArchiv, more than this is barely possible.
But yeah, waiting for both 15 and 20mm fix (they got a couple of errors) will be a final destination.
