Not really tldr it’s just very high resolution low range ( <5km) active radar homing. The missile has its own MMW radar, short wavelength allow for accurate target discrimination.

Yeah but at this point they are only present in two nations, this is exactly the same as introducing MMW guidance for example only for JAGMs and brimstones.

But they dont for balance, which is why its silly that logic isnt applied to the russians

i just did a flyout in my STOCK SU-33 in nuclear thunder and it was easy asf i could get to the frontline without getting locked the whole way i could fly right next to enemy carriers and they barley even tried to kill me i could climb and not immidiatly get spammed by the US AA and get this i could take off without immediately having to go defensive this is in contrast to my spaded F-16C/D/I that the second i leave the airfield i am locked and shot at by BUKs all the way across the map and if i dont go defensive i will die if i get withing 10km of cariers i will evaporate if i go near the frontline i will get evaporated by 2S6s BUKs and if i try and use my AGM-88C the AAs turn their radar off but can still perfectly track and launch at me and if i do it from far away they will shoot me and all my missiles down at the same time gaijin really needs to nerf the russian AA

im talking about nuclear thunder although yes russian top tier in the normal game is busted they are atleast bound by some rules like not shooting on the move and having to use there radar the russian AA in nuclear thunder isnt they will spam missiles while moving intercept everything and launch on the airfield i dont think its so much of a technology problem as is is an AI problem they should reduce the range AAs shoot players at but only on the russian side american side is completly useless rn and mabye swap out the BUK with something else so that multipath actually works instead of getting exploded by a missile that hit the ground

But I said that straight away, still, it doesn’t change the fact that the F-14 isn’t terrible in dogfights, though I also said straight after that its greatest strength against the F-15 is positioning

it’s almost worse than the MiG-29 in a df…

I don’t think so, but I’ve had such a bad time with the plane on other occasions that I’ve formed the opinion I have of it
