You said it’s not implemented, but I can assure you that SAP-HE and HE are all different in their performance, and I’ll reiterate what others have already told you: find reliable sources and try to change it, but I doubt it will work. And you don’t even know how guided weapons work, but anyway, no missile will hit half the places you test. And welcome to the spikes, don’t try to be better than other nations, and remember that spikes are tandem and even then sometimes you need 3 to kill a tank.
The fact is, the explosive damage of the CM502KG was no different before its change from SAP-HE to HE than it is now after the change to (HE). According to what you said, why was the CM502KG’s explosive damage equally criticized during its SAP-HE period, and why did it not achieve the explosive damage level of the RP-3, which has a lower TNT equivalent than the 502?The impact points I displayed in my post were solely for comparing their explosive damage effects. I am, of course, fully aware that it would not land exactly at the specific location I marked—I understand perfectly well that its impact point is randomized, as intended by the game’s mechanics.
In practice, its impact point will only be more random. You might expend all of your CM502KG missiles and still fail to achieve effective kills against vehicles like Main Battle Tanks (MBTs), unless they are lightly armored targets such as SPAAs. At least, that’s how it performs on the current Dev Server. I am also aware and understand that the kill effect of missiles like the Spike or PARS is equally poor. I don’t know if this post will be seen by the development team, but I’ve still shared my thoughts. You all can also share your opinions about other vehicles/missiles, just like I did.
The thing is, the way you express yourself gives the impression that the new Chinese missile is incorrect and poorly made, almost to the point of crying, but I understand what you’re complaining about. However, I believe that the missiles are acceptable, given that at long distances it hits at almost 90º at the top of the tank. You can even get the 11 kg of explosives you want, but if you stick with HE, it will still fail to kill in most cases, that will only change if it becomes SAP-HE.
Thank you for your understanding.
My recommendation, if you really want to change something, is to find out what type of explosive charge is in the missile, whether it is really HE.
Very much not a bug report, you said it yourself. It was a suggestion.
Regardless, it’s the dev server and things are very WIP
It’ll most likely be fixed by release
You can see from the developer’s display board I posted that the 502 has warhead options for both HE and SAP-HE.
Do you have a link to this website?
I want to bug report it missing the SAP warhead and laser seeker
Unfortunately, I currently only have this one image of the CM502KG, sourced from the export manual PDF of the China National Precision Machinery Import & Export Corporation.
I do not possess a physical copy of the document. The other photo is of the CM502KG information display panel exhibited at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition
Unfortunately to make the bug report I need to know the source of the PDF file
Yes, that’s exactly the issue. China’s military equipment, including export variants, is subject to quite strict information confidentiality. Obtaining their specific sources is very difficult.
Finally someone understands the pain of making bug reports for israeli equipment
70 year classification period…
We can only find fragments of information from publicly available papers, export exhibition brochures, or patent websites. At specialized export exhibitions, the general public can only view the equipment from outside the railings, and the information on display panels is extremely limited. Furthermore, physical access to export manuals is typically strictly prohibited. In academic papers or patent documents, they usually do not explicitly specify which specific equipment or device the technology is applied to. Therefore, having such evidence acknowledged in the Issue section is also challenging.
I can understand you, it’s really frustrating to know something is incorrect but be unable to prove your point. However, we cannot disclose military confidential information. In the game, the APS malfunction on Israel’s Merkava Mk 4B still doesn’t seem to be fixed. Some very obvious bugs are also being addressed quite slowly by Gaijin.
