SAM kills any target that gets close

The only thing that changed is the target. Still one player has to do the job of 2 pilots.

Southerneastern City is unplayable due to the horrible visibility

It’s intended as testing ground, apparently:

I do fervently hope however that such mechanics like SEAD operations and modular ground targets make it eventually also into other game modes, specifically Sim EC, which atm still suffers severely from lack of development since ages, but would be perfect for those additions.

Gaijin has tested submarines, WWII infrantry bots, SEAD, and a few more over the years - we’re still waiting for something else than team deathmatch… don’t place your hope too high.

I guess it’s too much to ask for the Shilkas to be toned down a bit? It’s great that they can consistently shoot the pimple out of my pilots crack whilst I am 3km away and going mach 1.

It won’t happen. There’s a fundamental problem: players having fun don’t need to buy premium stuff anymore.

I played one battle and I can confidently say that this is what Air RB should’ve been. No enemy markers, only team-mates.

Just played my first two games.

As the soviets, entry was quick, I didn’t get shot down at all, decently fun mode, I was worried about being outclassed by superior US avionics but my fears appear to be unfounded, victory came relatively easily.

As the US, it took me far longer to get into a game. My two deaths were as a result of flying straight into a cooling tower just after my bombing run (couldn’t see it through the smoke) and by getting shot down by a third party (once I finished my second bombing run, I decided to get into a dogfight which was a mistake). BTW, as cool as napalm is, it is not the weapon you want to bring for this. We lost this one.

Overall I’d say a decently fun event/mode. That said in both of my matches, the defenders won each time. Including helicopters is cool but I can’t exactly tell what their purpose is in this mode. This was true in both games as I don’t think I saw anyone flying a helicopter. Maybe if there were in a separate spawn point pool from planes?

I’ve only played the US side and Anti-Air is way too powerful.

It’s impossible for helicopters to get close unless they arrive from below - which is impossible in most cases.

It is unclear how much damage needs to be dealt to the base to win.

Too many US players just head to the base and get wrecked by faster Mig-21s.

On several occasions, there were more defenders than attackers.

Clearly unbalanced and not fun. Nice try though !

Oh, and I don’t play US or Russian nations, so wasted time overall when grind is atrocious already otherwise. I see no reason to play this game mode at all.

Why so short.

Yeah I won’t play it considering that I don’t have neither USSR or US trees, so this event feels like a waste of time. Global RP would’ve made this event more enticing to the rest of us who don’t have said trees.
