@Cpt_Bel_V@Tagalyaga Don’t get me wrong, I would also rather see an earlier Standard of the Rafale instead of the second latest. F.3.3 (or just F.3 “Late” lol), would have also been enough and compareable to the EFTs we are now getting. While it would lack AASM-L, GBU-16 and Mk.80 series (who is going to use these anyway while having AASM-IIR as Kh-38MT equivalents), as well as AESA which arguably isn’t needed, but still very capable.
This specfic Rafale is what I’ve talked about earlier; its the C101 testbed (previously known as C01, which to my knowledge also lacks a significant amount of avionics, which can also be clearly seen on the pictures) that doesn’t have a lot in common with production ones.
Which is correct. The MICAs on the C101 are mounted on the new additional Pylons, which were added with F.4.1, also known as SP3 pylons.
I guess we’ll see if they buff the micas like people said would happen if we don’t get more missiles… lol
I don’t get why people think MICAs will be fixed if Rafale performs bad. That’s not how the snail operates. It never is, or was. Simplest example being instead of fixing Leclercs, they chose to add Leopards. We never asked for Leopards.
Ha , ha , ha,… so wrong - military programs in France works so the Testbed will be severly modified to test out any ideas, that could be used on industrialized 10-20years later on Series.
You really think they were testing F4.1 before F3R or even F3.4 entered service? Similar photos date to 2009. Hell, the actual contract for it is dated after the flights happened
