Rafale’s RWR does not seem to detect the launch of ERs?
Not getting ID or warning from a Su 33’s launch. Consistently.

Oh you mean F-22 replica that has no reliable information?
They claim that their stealth fighter is better than F-22/35 while at the same time they never even produced 3th gen fighters.
Turkey always makes cool prototypes that ends failure. Their ALTAY tank is one of the best example in that case, despite their claim they couldnt even start serial production after 12 years.
Safe to say their words are not something that should be taken seriously.
any idea of what the RCS currently is in game ? Maybe it’s in the files ?
Way too large
Rafale is already matured product while KAAN is nothing but fancy prototype.
Considering how many times Turkey failed to start serial production on prototype designs while making absurd claims i have zero trust in this case as well.
assuming it enters service in the 2030s, it won’t matter anyway
Rafale has already been a moderate export success, and most importantly, a 30 year older aircraft
If, and that’s a big if, the KAAN enters service, its equivalent will be NGF.
As for “Turkey”, i would like to remind you that it is being in part developped by BAE, which is not turkish.
They also have to develop their own engine, which is no small feat, so we’ll see how that goes
As for the “stealth tech” side of things, the Rafale basically had it all, except for the bay, and a few areas of the airframe, which were not designed with stealth in mind. Neuron however made its first flight 12 years ago and was designed as a stealth drone from the get go.
The front ‘cold’ part of the engine can’t be that hot. I don’t know what kind of air conditioning Rafale has, but it makes it shine like a star.
Maybe pilot turn ac off when he go stealth y’know?
then again, it could be a case of camera sensitivity
the color of the airflow going out of the engines is of the same brightness as the AC on your picture, while the engine exhaust is far hotter than whatever comes out from behind the canopy
this make me think of a Flare,… see the cone behind the hot spot?
it’s seems that the hot spot is defusing heat and in such only a Flare could do so.
Man I know the IRST can be annoying at times, but I love it in Sim. It’s so nice to be able to lock TWS > switch IRST for approaching sneakily > switch to PD again at close range and launch a MICA. If I could launch a MICA from the IRST that would be even more funny.
This is a small clip of me pranking an EF2000 earlier. Sorry for the low res, imgur compresses video a lot, but I’m starting to find this plane really fun in Sim. A lot more than the EF2000 for now (still waiting for a radar fix tbh)
So this bug report about the IRST camera not tracking the target and displaying it on the MFD screen was closed by a mod who says it is working as it should but yet it doesn’t track them properly.
@Smin1080p_WT, @Gunjob is it possible to get the report reopened and passed onto the devs to get it actually working? The same bug is also present on the Kurnass 2000 which the report has also been marked as fixed and yet isn’t fixed. There seems to be loads of bug reports that are marked as fixed and actually aren’t. And now with the bug reporting moderators being hidden we can’t see if it’s just a problem with just 1 mod that keeps doing this or if its an issue with several
it should be possible tho the devs said for now they would not put it in game.
Nvm maybe looked at wrong report it was forwadded for review.
AFAIK they’re going for an EJ200/XG40 derivative, but there has been some argument over intellectual property rights/workshares. There is little modification that could be done in the design by Turkey, so RR wishes to retain rights to it and also take some of the workshare given existing production lines.
Turkey insists that they should retain intellectual property rights on any developed engine, which isn’t really compatible.
We will see.
BAE’s involvement makes it closer to Lockheeds involvement in the KF-21, prior to that noone would’ve said they were further ahead than France in Korea’s case in aircraft development, but now they both have a Tier 1/Founding F-35 partner doing much of the design when it comes to L/O optimisation.
So its a bit of a tossup as to who you view really knowing what they’re doing, rather than ‘just being told what to do and how’.
Hello @Smin1080p_WT good day.
I saw in the Eurofighter thread that you wrote a list of some updates on the outstanding Eurofighter reports, can we see some updates on the same outstanding reports for the Rafale or MBDA MICA? :)
Hello
If we have any new answers to share, we for sure will.
Thank you!
i need good real AESA radar in rafale
why is the guidance of those HAMMERs so bad?
i loft them from 30km or so, they have more than enough energy to get there and yet they aim short of the base
