hahaha wtf okay, this is hard to explain xD
For those who are interested, the document below is the technical documentation for the Rafaut tribomb transport pods (declassified) equipping the Rafale
Bomb pod.zip (987.4 KB)
for those who are interested in getting the MICAs fixed i would encourage you to support the following bug reports :
- Community Bug Reporting System
- Community Bug Reporting System
- Community Bug Reporting System
- Community Bug Reporting System
That would maybe encourage the devs to take a deeper look into it
I “have the same issue”'d each one of them. Hopefully we will se something moving forward ! At least a comment from Gaijin about it… It has been “forwarded” for like 6 months now.
There is literally an interview with a Typhoon pilot somewhere saying the Rafale pulls better AoA
Do you think that i need to make a new report for the engine power with the information of this report : Community Bug Reporting System to be accepted?
Has anyone made a report for Rafale’s arrest hook not working ?
And is Rafale going to get functional SPECTRA ? It would help alot considering low amount of CMs
Oh and smart flares
The information regarding SPECTRA has been reported internally, for intelligent flares I don’t think it will be added given that this mechanic is not yet in game
Otherwise I haven’t seen a report for the arresthook
We also have A-10 and A-4N with flaps modelled as airbrakes
The more folk bring up to me, the more disappointment I feel in the devs.
Well they agreed to change the locking/tracking distance of the IRST of the Eurofighter, I hope that they will also be interested in changing that of the Rafale

My money’s on “Not a bug” for the French plane.
Hi. I will look at OSF data when I am home, if you have any figure to share feel free
The problem is that the information concerning the IRST of the Rafale is still classified, only a few secondary sources announce values and when I presented them I was told that it is not precise enough
I have some but I’m not sure Dassault appreciates seeing a leaked flight manual on the forum
No. Definitely not. If you have any secondary source share it here.
Maybe if we leak it they’ll fix it.
After all, EFT got touched up after someone leaked info on it…
(This is a joke, please do not smite me mods, I am not supporting espionage.)
Are we playing the same game?
Here are a certain number of open sources which speak of the OFS IRST, Dassault and Thales do not give a figure but the other sources all more or less agree for a maximum range of 100km for the IRST and 40km for the designation camera
http://www.ffaa.net/aircraft/rafale/caracteristiques.htm
http://mpanel.perso.infonie.fr/rafale/radar.htm
https://cmano-db.com/aircraft/3230/#google_vignette
The last source is a priori unreliable so a reservation should be noted on this subject.
From what I have read/see, the OFS is inferior to the PIRATE in the field of IR detection but equivalent in the visible field
According to certain sources, the OFS would allow identification of targets (via their thermal signature or visually), which would give a pseudo IFF to the IRST
Thank you. I will look at what you sent and what I have tonight.
