Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance

Same, even just diving without slowing down first turns me into splinters

Sure is rough, suffering from success while everyone else, even those with higher TWR, struggle to keep up

Rafale players truly have it the worst

having the rip speed fixed on Rafale would send it into another level, that thing could finally overcome the eurofighter in terms of practicality and actually be capable of fighting 1v1s against the F-15Es which are sitting in the stratosphere

I would argue it already has surpassed them

Interesting suggestion I found regarding the fusion of TGP and radar :

in terms of agility, sure, but not when the guy decides to speed away

well i exclusively sit at high alt all game almost not matter what and in that situation nothing can really out run you till they get past mach 2 which i haven’t had happen yet

Was already the best jet in-game when they added it, and then gaijin buffed it like 20 times afterwards while nerfing the competition. Its not even arguable at this point most ppl I’ve heard discuss it think the state its in atm is a bad joke balance-wise.

If Rafale receives these changes, it will become even more powerful than it is now.

If they are sitting in the stratosphere, then it’s not like the Rafale rip speed is going to be a factor anyway?

Yeah Rafale cooks Typhoon in all but looks

it is when you want to stay out of contrail altitude

can someone give me tips for using MICAs…?

I swear my hit rate with them is probably below 50%, they track perfectly, someone turns slightly and they do a sharp turn and go bananas.

Ive even had one MISS a guy who was literally flat spinning and on fire…

i usually launch at about 18-17km fyi

I dont understand these missiles at all.

Launch them at like, 15 km max if you are close to the ground

i dont fly close to the ground, and still doesnt adress my question about the MICA’s getting easily notched?

i swear every time i launch at someone they slightly turn and the missile just fuck off randomly.

Micas are slightly harder to notch than other fox-3 missiles

This is because the speed gate got reduced, which means that when nothing micas you need to be closer to flying perfectly 90° to notch the missile than with the Amraam or r77 for example

Well, micas are actually the hardest fox 3s to notch

Keep your altitude and get a position above the furball that forms during the match, radar will be good to have the enemies displayed and make the 8 mica’s rain from above. I use this strat with the su30 already and it works really well, in that 15/18km range the missiles will have a higher chance of getting to their targets, especially when your micas come from almost a perpendicular angle.

If this strat works well in the Su-30 I can imagine it would also work really well in the Rafale, considering the better kinematic capabilities and defensive abilities of the jet.

Thats pretty much what i do yeah, i rarely get below 2k because the rafale turns into a spaceship at altitude and you literally outrun anything shot at you, its nuts.

also i forgot to add that the at range its easy to notch MICA’s, but close range? yeah forget it theyre impossible to dodge.

I think my initial post was clumsy, i shouldve edited to say that the MICA’s feel inconsistent at times, theyre not bad, just a bit… disappointing sometimes?
