Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance

Noticed this while playing the Su-30 these past few days, NCTR always switches from “X” jet to “rocket”, that’s so annoying to deal with, especially when you don’t have much space for a launch and you gotta reacquire target :(

Otherwise, apart from that, the HMD is still bugged, it no longer displays the designated target and puts the designation point in a random location on the map.

Noticed that as well.

I had made this bug report but no feedback on it for the moment,
Scorpion HMD issue // Gaijin.net // Issues

it’s rather annoying in simulation. And besides, the display of aerial targets is no longer done in the HMD either, whereas it appeared during the last dev server

Yes although hitting the keybind for switching TWS targets takes me back to the same aircraft 90% of the time. I’ll have to look into it because I can’t see why radars don’t discriminate against missiles when they can see the target and know its radar cross section.

I was about to make an own Report first but oh well.

They all got passed. Just gaijin turned around decided that multiple primary sources weren’t suffecient or that the primary sources were incorrect.

Passed as in Got implemented*
Ngl it has been very funny to see German mains complain about the British side of the EFT community when the British have been doing all the work

Ah right yeah. Most bug reports regarding British stuff take 2 to 3 buissness years to get fixed. Even laughably basic stuff.

Where did that happen?

such as? i cant think of any examples of british things taking any longer to fix than any other nations

SRAAMs should have double their current range, 3 year old report for that.

CR1 and CR2s should have 28 round ready racks. 2 year old reports for that.

Heck even got a 2 year old report for the hanger flag for the FGA9 being wrong.

Pretty much everything has a major issue never addressed

But that is largely off topic

sraams are likely that way more due to balance than gaijin not wanting to, the aircraft that carry them are already mediocre airframes at there respective brs, increasing the range of the sraam would make the already pretty strong missiles probably some of the best at the br range forcing the two planes to go up in br, this would make them pretty much unplayable as they will be put in a matchmaker where they will: struggle to catch anything, not have the flight performance to keep up with the other planes, and neither have flares.

also those time frames are not exactly uncommon when it comes to these things you can find accepted reports dating back years for every other nation too, not something unique to the brit tree

would create a mess for balancing stuff like Hunter F.6.

and it took me 3 years to got CCIP+Radar on Etendard IVM using a Pilot Manual and a Detailed scheme of aircraft,… so Gaijin really just don’t work unless they have confidence in reports,… (as such @DirectSupport makes a great job).

I dont see why. You get superior missiles like R-60s and Aim-9Gs at the same or lower BR.

but with fairly less capable aircraft.

Not really. France has a Hunter F6 at 9.3 (9.0 in SB) and the Hunter FGA9 is 9.3 (in RB at least) and the Harrier Gr1 has no CMs at the same BR as the AV-8S and AV-8A with 240 CMs.

Neither aircraft are overly special and underperfroming quite a lot at their current BRs. Increasing the range from 800m to 1.6km is hardly game breakingly OP. Now giving them their historical all-aspect ability. that would be an issue, but the range? Nope.

likely this is due to the heat signature changes based on speed of objects

Rafale guys how well does the Rafale do against the likes of the Su-34/Su-30 etc.
Took the Typhoon 2 turns to get behind a Su-34.

Just wondering if that is the case with the Rafale?

Never got into a dogfight with either tbh, just a Su-27SM recently, which I got in a single turn (MICA EM + HMCS rules).
