Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - Part 2

So something interesting about that. There was no further evidence found for that triple rack MICA. But there does exist a Dassault document on the Mirage 4000 that showed how 14x Magic missiles were mounted on the M4K without the use of triple racks, so this was theoretically possible. The youtuber Meumeu who is part of the French defense industry talked a bit about it on his channel.

Tbf, the J-10C can be considered as new aircraft already, the differences between J-10A and J-10C are massive.

As the F.5 will change quite a lot electronics and replace old cables with new Fiber Optics. Since technology has changed significantly over the last decade, systems are not only many times more powerful, but also lighter or don’t increase weight in any meaningful matter (like RBE2 to RBE2-AA), as the components are becoming smaller and require less space, not necessarly though.
Of course, there will also be new systems / additions, but I hardly think we should expect an increase in overall weight; it may even be that we end up with zero weight gain/loss and still have much more powerful and new systems; maybe in addition to the new engines.

As for F.6, there are already rumors of an adjustment to the airframe to improve stealth capabilities - exactly how that will look like (if at all) remains to be seen, but I assume that new materials (such as the composite-bonded structure developed by Japan, combined with compound design using layered alloys for example), which not only greatly improve stealth but can also reduce weight, could be used. However, there may also just be additional use of RAM, considering there is still enough space left for on the Rafale - we’ve to see.

Can it be bug reported? Would love it in the base game :)

MICA motor rework and MICA TVC angle was shot down due to using “restricted sources” even though according to US laws, once a document has been made available in a library, then it is no longer restricted.

Should not be a problem, but I think it already has a lil bit of gold tint, could be wrong though.

yes it does

Fair point.

Just for the jokes, notice in 20+ years of service Rafale never had or needed an AMK kit, speak volumes :)

( I just try to joking and not be offending, thx :)

Jokes entirely aside, it may just be Rafale can’t reasonably fit an AMK-esque kit, whereas improved EJ200s are actually a real option. Seems every relevant country just opted not to use them though lol.

does’nt one of the point of the AMK on EF should help him with lift at low speed ?
where Rafale is already designed bcs of CV landing ?

After who know if Rafale can or cannot fit an AMK kit, i’m not an engineer, it seems for now it was not a necessary things for the Rafale.

no that is one off the added psoitives side effects from my understanding

it was primarily designed to generate more lift and thus increasing the maximum weight of ordinance that can be carried and increasing BVR performance

Also nothing concrete for now but maybe Taiwan Rafale in the future XD

nah they should cancel that deal we dont need the rafale in the chinese tech tree with how the chinese community has behaved recently

If it’s what it takes to have a Rafale without the refueling probe, send it.

Tbf, Taiwan needs something to defend itself with, and considering the last few years, they likely know the US cant be trusted in that regard whatsoever, so it makes sense imo. China getting access to Taiwanese vehicles is pretty disgusting though considering what China intends to do to Taiwan.

i can understand why that is, somewhat compareable to east and west germany, to some extend

but with how the chinese community reacted about the VT-4, they honestly dont deserve getting any western equipment through taiwan anymore in my opinion

Taiwan will get f-16v and they will be happy. I sincerely doubt they have need for a rafale considering that thing is superior air to ground wise, while being comparable air to air wise irl

Looking at what the Chinese air force has to offer I’d say they need anything they can get. They’re in a position of trying to directly defend against one of the most well equipped air forces in the world.
