not necessary? maybe.
Adding a Sherman to another TT? My good sir, there is already a Sherman in literally every TT, be it premium or TT. instead it’s one more Sherman that may actually bring something useful to a TT.
I have up to 8.7 Sweden, I barely bothered to touch 5.0/5.7 Sweden. the best tank at 5.0/5.7 for me was the 5.0 TD, and I barely even played that.
I have most of the US, when i play 5.7 i have the linup i want. This is more so about every nation having a competitive lineup. The Strv 74 is not a 5.7 comparable vehicle as most 5.3’s do its job better in every regard. Your entire argument is reading reading stats and saying what you think about a vehicle it seems you haven’t played. This conversation isnt really going anywhere so we should agree to disagree.
Yea. USSR has a premium M4A2, while Japan has a premium M4A3 (76) W. Germany has a captured sherman, the M4 748 (a). Israel has the M-51 and the M-51 (W), and China has the normal M4A4 and the M4A4 (1st PTG) and a M4A1 75 (W). Italy has a M4 hybrid, M4A4, M4 Tipo 1C, and the Sherman Vc. UK has the Sherman II, Sherman firefly, Skink, and Poland (in the UK TT) has the Sherman IC “Trzyniec”. France has the M4A1, M4A3 (105), M4A4, M4A1 (FL10), M4A4 (SA50) and the M4A3E2. And the US has the M4, M4A1, M4A2, M4A3 (105), M4A1 (76) W, M4A2 (76) W, the Calliope, Cobra King, M4A3 (76) W, M4A3E2 (76) W, and the M4A3E2. That is a total of 31 Shermans in the entire TT, and almost all of the major TT’s have this tank, and so the Sherman is the most numerous tank in the whole game. And do we need to make it 32 now?
It’d be more accurate to call it mismodeled, if we’re to be fair. The vehicle it’s meant to represent did exist but the modeler or whoever gave direction to the modeler got confused, which resulted in the M4A3 hull.
This is likely because the original hull had a big fat “IV” plastered on it, which just so happens to be what the British called the M4A3 (Sherman IV). I’m certain that this is a genuine mistake because Gaijin literally added a large-hatch VVSS M4 hulled vehicle in the same update. It’s a relatively simple fix but we all know how Gaijin is with those.
This would be an interesting variant of a Sherman. Just one question: is the M1A1C cannon the upgraded variant of the 76mm M1 gun found on other US tanks? Or a Danish (or other origin) produced gun with differrent performance and ballistics?
+1 for this Frankenstein wagon, while it’s “only” a Sherman the fact that it’s the first Danish tank is more significant, and would continue the Scandinavian expansion of the Swedish TT.
Rather than pedantically define the CV90 as a non-tank, I will instead point to the fact that the Suggestion is taglined as “Denmark’s first official tank”!
From what i understand, the reason they didn’t get any of the German panzer left in the country after WW2 (except a few for de-mineing operations), was because during the Yalta Conference, it was agreed on that German war material should be destroyed. It was the same reason that Denmark used the Spítfires instead of the Fw190’s that were in the country at the time of the German surrender.
France didn’t have its tank industry going at that time, and Britain were in massive dept because the war.
Denmark have never really had their own armoured vehicle industry, the most they produced were a couple of armoured cars.
The reason they did get arms support, was because the Marshall plan, which were enacted in 1948.
From what i understand, the M1A1C, is similar to the M1 on other Sherman tanks, but without the muzzle break.
